I was thinking the same thing. They've had the LR range next to the P3D speed for a long time. That has been on there for quite some time, according to the WayBack Machine.

At least it seems to indicate that they are still notionally committed to a LR version, even if they are not offering one right at the moment.
The LR can be ordered again, but it only qualifies for half the tax credit. If you have an existing order, you must go in and reconfirm your design and accept the changes in the pricing.
It sure sounds like it. Range dropped 25 miles as well. Definitely a disappointment, but I'll still keep my order. So it must be getting a battery from China like the RWD?
It keeps saying page unavailable when I go to manage the order. Anyone else having this problem? The LR can be ordered again, but it only qualifies for half the tax credit. If you have an existing order, you must go in and reconfirm your design and accept the changes in the pricing.
I just had this error, but was able to get in successfully an hour ago. Maybe they can't handle all the LR traffic. It keeps saying page unavailable when I go to manage the order. Anyone else having this problem?
It’s not LFPSo finally got the changes to go through, so what are the disadvantages to having an LFP. I saw some people on here not too happy about it. While watching comparison video, many people said that being able to always have the RWD at 100% was a great advantage. Do LFP get the full speed at Super Chargers? It doesn't seem to have taken at hit to the 0-60 time either for the Long range.
Are you sure? I see many speculating that it my be LFP.It’s not LFP
Most likely the LG made cells they use in the Euro market cars. It’s a smaller capacity like 79kWh vs 82kWh for Panasonic cells.Oh sorry. I guess I got confused why the range went down and why people were upset. What are they thinking is different with the battery then?
No one knows for sure until more details are confirmed, but LFP doesn’t make sense if it has more range than the RWD with a less efficient dual motor setup. Are you sure? I see many speculating that it my be LFP.
I think the thing many people do not consider is that not everyone is going to get the full $7,500. If your income tax is less that 7,500 then you do not get the full $7,500. Plus, when I quoted insurance for the Model Y it was a lot more expensive per month over the 3.Well that has to be the stupidest pricing for the LR 3. After tax incentives the LR Y is LESS expensive with greater range. Why would ANYONE buy the LR 3? The LR Y costs an extra $3k over the SR. The LR 3 costs an extra $7k! over the SR 3
Why would ANYONE buy the LR 3
Why would ANYONE buy the LR 3?
If your income tax due is less than $7500 you probably shouldn’t be buying a $50k+ vehicle….I think the thing many people do not consider is that not everyone is going to get the full $7,500.
