+1 to the above.
I highly recommend just setting everything to percentage so you don't even see the mileage number.

Really? Jeff Dahn battery guru says 70 percent is ideal.Charging between 60-80% is well known to kill indicated range

Oh thanks for the clarification. That’s very informative. What percentage do you use, just curious.Yes it's ideal for the health of the battery, but it throws off the system's calculations of estimated miles.

Thanks very very much zhu. I like the more power. I’m going on your recommendation.I normally charge to 90%, there's a bit more power at that SOC vs 75% or lower.

You know zhu I should stay off the forums and just enjoy the car. But I’m obsessed with data. Teslafi is making me nuts.I believe the battery degradation is only very slightly worse and Elon suggested the 90% himself as a good overall balance

What would be the proper 'corrective' procedure to bring things back to normal? How long does this usually take?
Would you say that charing it to say 95% once a week would actually mess it up more or is the 90% a 'rigid' number for this that's somehow coded into the BMS?
Elon has said to charge to 95% if you need it, but general recommendation is 90%. I think charging to lower SoCs cause more of an issue than charging to higher SoCs.
I would recommend not doing this. The service department is already way over stressed. We don't need to bother them for a little peace of mind when their shouldn't be any worry in the first place. I would feel bad pushing back the appointment time for someone needing actual service. For folks who maybe wondering though, just make a quick appointment and have sc do a quick battery check. They can run to make sure your car don’t have any recall and make sure the battery is ok for peace of mind. That is what warranty is for.
