So 1 month in and finally got around to getting the chrome sorted. Top is collection day and below is sneak peak sent by urban automotive in the valet bay. I personally love it. I like the new height as well particularly as they discovered a broken anti roll bar link when I asked them what light knock was when dropping off . More pics to follow as have added abstract ocean rear Tesla badge in chrome and centre console wrap. Oh the windows are mid smoke as well. move finished fiddling for now....

Going to do the same to mine when it arrives. I’ve been quoted £300 for full chrome delete.

sounds cheap.... are they doing while parts on car? I insisted on removal where possible so paid £800. Had my Merc done with bits on car but you could see chrome from inside car in places, drove me potty. Haven’t even seen in the light to inspect yet but the form that did it were highly recommended. That includes applying the abstract ocean centre console wrap. I’ll post some detailed pics up tomorrow.

I’m not sure as I got the quote by email after seeing a few Model 3’s they have already done. By the looks of their website and insta, they specialise in wrapping.

I’m gonna get more information once my car arrives. Definitely post some pics as I want my centre console done aswell. I’m also wanting the wood strip on the dash wrapped and the window buttons and surrounds done. I reckon I will go for statin black as the delete and carbon fibre for the console, dash and window buttons.

You got any plans to do anything else?

Looks great! In fact it looks exactly like mine! Don’t park it near me or I might try and drive off in it.

On a slightly scary note, I’ve already seen 4 M3P blue cars in Essex and I’ve only had mine 6 weeks. Luckily none have been dechromed like mine so you are the first. Thanks nice I parked 100m from a bar and when I came out my car was right outside. Spooky.
We will have to agree to never meet....

I guess this is a function of the low number of colours available - there will be hundreds of us before long. Time for a burned orange wrap maybe?

Btw mine cost £650 inc removing the dual motor badge.

Removing the parts from the car.. isn’t that going to be a pain at the end of the lease? (assuming that, since most people seem to be doing it)

Looks lovely by the way, the exact spec car I want to buy.

The de-chrome looks really nice, will definitely be something I will be looking into if I order a car. Looks very good in the blue paint too, I had picked metallic grey but thinking again now. Would never have a black car again as they are a nightmare to keep clean and although I like the red I don't think I could stump up £2K extra for paint unless it was really special, £1K extra is bad enough. Lowering looks good but we have quite a few speed bumps in our area, I take it battery is well protected from scraping the bottom of the car?

You would have thought so, but no. There are a couple of areas where relatively minor damage will trash the whole pack. Such as Underbelly Damage?
Just read through that thread, and it's very strange. Everything suggests that there is nothing actually wrong with the battery, but the fact that the OP hasn't returned to update is either unhelpful or bad news in itself.

Mine's a lease so I'd be tempted to get a PPF for that price, but I couldn't justify 10 month's of charging cost to hide the chrome one a car I'll give back in three years. The PPF is a cost I'm willing to make as I'm concerned about the quality/durability of Tesla paint work.

How hard is it to simply wrap the handles and trip in a removable vinyl wrap? I've been more or less given the go ahead by NHS Fleet Solutions to apply a PPF to the car, but chrome deletion would need a final approval from LeasePlan.

If I get it PPF’d then it would only be to the most vulnerable parts of the car, not sure of the cost yet as I haven’t looked into it. I will remove the chrome delete once the car goes back in 4 yrs time. Only problem with PPF is the insurance, others on here have said they won’t cover it as they are classing it as a wrap.
