Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

I bought the Tesla wall charger and a local electrician charged me $350 to install. My electrical panel is in the garage so it was a relatively easy setup. The Tesla wall charger is not a supercharger but it charges up to 48 amps and that is pretty fast.

My M3P is my daily driver but I'm retired and most driving is short trips in Palm Beach County. I expect 90 percent of my charging will be at home in my garage.

Great to see everyones photos after delivery.

Cheers,

Snade

I’m also having some charging issues on my 14-50 NEMA (or the cord that plugs I to the Tesla itself). It’s not catching. I got it to charge at full power once in about 50-60 insertion tries. I’m assuming there is some debris somewhere causing a latch issue but I can’t figure it out. Lights turn all different colors on the port but not in a rainbow road kindve way...can someone tell me if the charger should be moderately loose when plugged in?
When I was researching my NEMA 14-50 I found a YouTube video where the guy compared six or seven outlets. Cheapest was $8, most expensive was $80. His advice was to avoid the cheapest. If I remember correctly the most expensive was from Bryant Hubbell. Might be that your outlet is just worn out and needs to be replaced.

As salty as I was of them not delivering in December (ordered in November), I’m happy that I have the heated steering wheel and a better interest rate. The car has been a blast, only things I’ve done was paint correction, ceramic coating, front end PPF and tints. Eventually I want to get the arachnid wheels from TSportsline.

Took home delivery today, it’s pouring in Northern VA so no good pictures. Only one major issue which is the back window sticks out, not flush on the top with the weather stripping leaving a noticeable gap. Scheduled for service on Wednesday.

Took delivery yesterday at Mt Kisko, they were slammed. Took about 90 minutes. Saw my car in the lot and the tow hook cover was hanging off. Upon further inspection it didn't want to clip in, and looks like some tabs may be broken off? I'm hoping its tabs on the cover, not the bumper. Anyone have a close up of their bumper with the cover off? Also had a little scuff on the wheel from the tire mounting process, and the spoiler is slightly lifting on the passenger edge. They documented the issues and I may place a SR regarding the tow hook cover.

Aside from these issues, the car is fantastic. I've come from a long background of BMWs and didn't expect the Model 3 to feel as premium, but am very impressed. Worth the wait guys, hang in there. Crummy weather in the north east currently so no photos.

Got mine today! Was surprised to see the SC wasn’t busy with pickups... Was so excited that I barely inspected the car, but will definitely find the time to do so in the next 24 hours....
The car is soo fast, but for me, the best parts of the car is the livability of it. Autopilot in the city and highway is incredible. Ride quality is a lot better than I was expecting, as is wind noise.

Ordered 2/4 and picked it up on 3/26 in Scottsdale. Overall the pick up process was dead simple. If it wasn't for the fact of checking of every detail of the car, The car is perfect except the trunk edge is missing paint/is chipped like crazy. I would have been in and out in 5 minutes. Overall about an hour. I scheduled an appointment for in a week to get the pain fixed. Hopefully that will be painless.

I took it for a few launches down the street before I headed to OzBraz down in Gilbert to drop it off to get tinted, PPF and ceramic coating. I freaking love this car- it's so much fun. I'll have more pictures once it's back from PPF.

Took delivery and ran into a few issues, the bumper and headlights need adjustment along with the hood. I also noticed the rear seat had a crease in it and the passenger headrest had a scratch that the service guy couldn't get out. He logged everything and I'm scheduling repairs soon. I did however drop the car off to get a full frontal ppf install along with rockers. Which sucks cause i only had the car for maybe 30mins on chill mode. Can't wait to see what sport mode is all about..

Hoping my delivery of this config makes it for 3/30 in Raleigh. Great pics! Congratulations.
