According to the Tesla man I spoke to at Stockport, the basic nav still uses the traffic data when working out your route, but you just can’t see it on the display. I thought that seemed odd, but that’s what I was told. How good is basic maps then? Is there any traffic info at all?
It does have DABDoes anyone know if the SR+ has DAB Radio or just FM?

I also hope that Tesla do some type of "Spotify/Netflix/iTunes" subscription service (Free/Standard/Premium tier) with app store on a monthly/yearly payment that allows users to have access to better features. Could be the next "iPhone" on the road!I suspect this will come as soon as Tesla start charging for renewal.
In theory, all cars which have it will need to renew it on an annual basis after delivery. Expected cost is $100 per year.
Right now, Tesla haven't actually charged anyone.
Agreed, it's easy money as the software is already built. Just a case of flicking on and off for certain VIN'sI imagine as v10 is coming soon with Netflix etc that is when a lot of data is going to be used, so probably when plans are going to be released.
The report I read said that video streaming would only be enabled over WiFi, and because of that Tesla were intending to install WiFi at all Supercharger locations.I imagine as v10 is coming soon with Netflix etc that is when a lot of data is going to be used, so probably when plans are going to be released.

Ah I guess that makes sense, they probably have internet for the superchargers to communicate anyway. Either way I recon the charging will start when v10 is released. The report I read said that video streaming would only be enabled over WiFi, and because of that Tesla were intending to install WiFi at all Supercharger locations.

That would be pretty cool and makes more sense than using a ton of mobile data. Apart from when Supercharging, I can't think of many other scenarios where I would choose to sit in the car for any length of time watching videos.
They aren't charging yet, they were suppose to charge after 30th June at approx $100 but it hasn't happened.Quite possibly. Does anyone know what the situation is over in the US? Are they charging for ongoing connectivity there yet? I expected it to be imminent after the M3 ramp up.
