Model 3 Squished

It wasn't my P3D but a friend posted this as he was part of the accident. I guess someone in a truck slammed into the back of the Model 3. I have only sketchy details but supposedly they were on a phone. Unknown as to what speed they were going but I will assume pretty fast as I know that part of the freeway well since I travel it everyday.

Good to see no fire from batteries.

Backseat area looks crushed which concerns me as I usually have 4 other family members in my vehicle.

Just thought I would post as I figured some folks may be interested to see a rear end collision. If I get more details I will follow up.

Really sorry to see this happen to anyone.

Generally speaking, same thing would happen to ANY sedan rear-ended by a taller bumper (area) vehicle like a truck.
Sheet metal has lots of 'crush', little structure to resist the mass of an impact.
It appears the truck's bumper completely missed the Model 3's bumper/frame/pack combo.
