Model 3 Tint Thread

My shop has a 15% "Tesla Owner's Discount", so that took away the sales tax and a bit off the base. But yeah, I think it was around $525 base price, which was sides/rear, single piece, ceramic.

@drawfour where did you go in the Seattle area? Any deets on what products you selected? Thx in advance!

Haha! That's funny. I actually got my inspiration from another car on this forum! I love the look! Only thing that's different about our setup is that I dropped mine 1" with the TSportline springs. And you have the red brake calipers, which I'm liking a lot! Did you have yours painted? Let me know. Thanks!

Merry Christmas! Yes, the detail shop that did my paint correction and PPF, also removed the calipers and painted in Tesla Red. I love the 1” drop on your setup.

Got it all tinted today. Suntek Ceramic 35% all the way around. I did not get front windshield.

I'm taking my M3 to 609 window tinting in Hallandale FL. Gave me a great rate for tint on all windows plus ppf on the entire front end.

Llumar 35% front, back, and rear 1 piece with 5% 7” eyebrow on the windshield. Like most other M3 owners have noted, the autodimming mirrors make it hard to see in the dark and almost impossible to see anything out of the rearview or sideview mirrors in the dark when it’s raining. I got a broadway mirror that helps and will get some convex side mirrors next.

I got a good deal since I also got full XPEL ultimate PPF and this was my 4th car they’ve PPF and 7th they’ve tinted for me over the past ten years.

It was $600 Canadian for tint with the one piece rear.

I was going to go to a glass shop and get a couple of custom pieces cut out and place them over the existing mirrors with double sided tape, but I haven’t had a chance to get to the shop. I’m hoping the complaints to Tesla can give us a future update to control the dimming feature before I get to the glass shop.

In the meantime, I just have a couple of cheap convex mirrors on the sideview mirrors.

Just had my car tinted at Wise Guy Tint in Fallbrook, CA. Maxpro ceramic film, 20% sides and rear. Love the look. Highly recommend these guys if you're in Southern California, worth the drive.

Have there been that many other complaints about the mirrors? I hope so! But is Tesla listening?
There are so many other good things about the cars... But the mirrors sure seem like the Achilles heels
in all their safety features.
What did you end up doing re your center/ Broadway mirror?
