I tried my type 2 cable last night for the first time (well, there was free electricity going ;-) ), mainly to test the experience. 4M cable was unweildy enough, I'm not sure I'd really want a longer one, especially one with this thickness of cable.

When i was speaking to the car sales man at T, he said i would get a 7m cable with the car. Unfortunately, i only received a 4m cable so i purchased another one online. Issue is not im not sure if i can leave it out in the rain !
The rubber caps are dust caps, not rain protection. If you leave the caps on in the rain they’re likely to fill up with water, which is bad. The plug is designed to be self-draining without the cap.
Hi i have got a 32amp commando box fitted...how do i coonect my new M3 to it please? The 16amp connector supplied with the car will not fit, has anyone found a solution to get round this? Thanks

The 32amp commando adapter is an extra. It costs £32 from your local service centre. you use it with your UMC instead of the 13amp plug or 16amp commando.
