Model S Delivery Dates and Sequencing

I think the web age and App are not being updated regularly. Neither the web page or the App indicate I have been assigned. Yet, when I called the 877 telephone number (selecting option 4), the Tesla rep told me he had the VIN for my car, and gave the entire number. The last 4 digits are 6087. Delivery is supposed to be between March 6 and March 20, according to the email that was previously sent to me. This is a white performance model.

Congrats--one more step! ;-)

Seeing people with similar delivery windows and configurations, I called Tesla to see if I had a VIN assigned even with reservation #18k+. And I did! (The app doesn't show it yet) VIN ending in 6167. Looks like many on this thread are right -- they seem to be doing these in batches according to configuration. I picked a good configuration it seems.

#18,418
Reserved 1/19/13
Pre-MVPA counter signed on 2/6/13
Delivery Button 2/10/13
Delivery Estimate: 3/1-3/15/13
85kWh standard performance, Blue Metallic, Grey Leather, Piano Black, Tech, Audio+, Air, 19", Pano.

Just got my vin this morning on the iPhone app! It's listed as P05785.

I'm reservation 16,132 and finalized on 1-22-2013 so I think I must have won the configuration lottery or something :)

85 kWh non-perf, blue/black leather/obeche gloss, tech, sound, air susp, parcel shelf

One additional update- I was just told that the estimated delivery date is Feb 26th! The delivery estimate when I finalized was Feb./March and the delivery window when I hit the delivery button was listed as Feb 22 - March 6 so it certainly looks like they are hitting the delivery windows now. With any luck, I'll be able to post some pics to the delivery update thread sometime next week :)

I received my final paperwork at 6am this morning, so I wired my final payment and met my friend Derrick for a three hour ride to Boston in his Audi S6. He was curious about the Model S, so we stopped by the Natick store for a test drive and then went across town to check out the Boston Service Center. There were at least twenty new Model S's in the parking lot. Quite a sight.

One of the pearl white ones reminded me of the car I have on order. I happened to glance at the serial number and realized... THIS IS MY CAR. (#5348) It's getting delivered to me in a few days. (I would have driven it off the lot if the northern New England Superchargers were in place.)

Mobile app spit out my VIN number this evening, P05718. Good thing I did my legwork today to get my ducks in a row with my credit union to finance the car as it's getting much closer now.

My window is 2/23 - 3/9.

Congrats. That is amazing. No VIN here yet. Not on app either. Must call TM tomorrow. Must be batching non-perf cars.

Congrats Todd, that's a beauty! My wife almost won me over to pearl white!

Thanks! I've been waiting since August, but totally worth the wait. My Model S was originally scheduled for June delivery. Getting it 3 months early is sweet!

it was cool to see nearly all the colors in one place yesterday. It made me glad that I ordered pearl white, although gray and silver looked better than they did in photos. Black is very nice, too, as long as it's clean.

And by the way, all the new 85's and P85's now have the "battery badge" on the back, just like the early founders cars have.

Recieved email yesterday from my Delivery Specialist asking for Delivery details. Copy of my drivers license, proof of insurance and financing questions (who and how much). I was also told that the car was being transported and delivery next week is possible. (My delivery window has been 2/22 thru 3/8)
Again, looks like things are going well, and I haven't made a call yet.
Fingers still crossed.

Congrats!

I just called & got my VIN: 66XX (& the rest checks out for my config) W00T!
Garrett was very helpful, professional, and courteous. He even transferred me to my IDS, Sara, to ask about plate transfer. And she sent me the email asking for insurance, DL, previous registration/plates.

Hm, somehow put my name in the location field on the profile. I guess that could be considered correct in a metaphysical sort of way, but isn't too useful otherwise.

I'm in Houston, so no factory pickup for me. I'm sure you'll have your car long before I do, as I think all Texas deliveries are staged in Dallas before they go on to their final destinations.

Full config is 85 KWh, non-perf, 19", blue/gray leather/obeche gloss, tech, air susp, parcel shelf

Called in and got mt vin 6656. Car is not in production yet and is estimated to go there end of next week YEAH !!!

Unfortunately (or fortunately, the sun does not only do well to people, Teslas also love it...) I live in Florida, so transit will take some time.

Anybody has some experience how long transit takes ? I assume they also don't drive every day to Florida, or do they with so many cars now produced and Tampa also servicing Georgia ?
