Yes, that is exactly what I've been told. Performance (both sig and non sig) have the alcantara on the edges because it's more "grippy" and you'll need that when the extra power is throwing you around. So no difference in the seats between the Sig Perf and Production Perf models.
That doesn't make much sense to me. You get thrown around on cornering, which is going to have very little difference between Sig and non-Sig. You don't get thrown around when just accelerating.
