I just called Elon about this, and he says he can have your car ready this week, but you have to pick it up at the Fremont factory and transport it yourself to Germany. Is that oke?

I don't think it's the US push since I was supposed to get my car on Nov. 1st "Late October" and I've been moved to December. I'm in the US.

In my opinion they try to deliver as many cars as possible now to reach their Q3 targets. For me it seems, that after the scheduled factory downtime it took longer to get up to speed than expected.
Any car build today in Freemont will be handed over in Q3 if in US.
Your car counts for Q4 anyhow. Same as mine...

Litho1 - did your DS say why? Ir was the prior just a general estimate and now they are reworking the build order? Probably going to build exports first for October into November. US orders being built now like crazy. Wouldn't it be nice to see them build half and half in a steady stream?

Realize though that on August 1st, the web site said something like "order now, December deliveries". If you confirmed nearly a month later, that's still good.

My delivery date was just pushed from Late October to Late November. VIN: 56829, P85+. I'm also taking delivery at the Fremont Factory. It seems like having priority delivery for ordering the performance package and being local doesn't really matter.

Yeah they delivered 17 cars on the launch including mine. It might be that early September delivery is allocated to Japan and other Asian markets.

Pretty excited. My delivery did say late October but I wanted it in November and then today my delivery changed to December.

My P85+ went into production yesterday. Looks like they will meet my revised pickup date on Sept 19th at the factory even though my dashboard still says late September. Can't really complain as I changed from pearl white to steel gray and from white to black headliner within the last month. Several times during the last two months my dashboard indicated an October delivery, my at the end of the day they are only a week later than the first "real date" I was given by my DS.
