I forgot to not the DS is telling me that the MCU will only affect the "infotainment" on the car nothing else. I've been looking and looking for what will be affected. I see Maps and Browser will be affected. Should I be concerned on any operation on the car?

what has been the problem with the older MCU what is slow going in the operation of the car.

The MCU only affects features accessed from the 17" screen. Anything you access from that screen will be faster with the new MCU. All other features of the car are unaffected and not related to the MCU. This includes Autopilot, etc. These have separate processing hardware.

Collected my MS this morning. Intel-based MCU.

Problem with W-fi: it will not connect to home wireless network even after disabling 5ghz. Software is 10.2. Anyone with similar issues?

I have the new MCU and 10.2 as well. I had to try at least 6-8 times to get my wifi to connect to my home router but eventually it did connect and it seems stable. Maybe try again a few more times?

It sees the network. After selecting and supplying the password the circle changes to a small red dot with check mark, but it continues in circles around and around, eventually changing to the "Unable to Connect" box, waiting for the password again. The password is correct, as I use an iPad to verify.

Hi Daniellane,

It works that way for me on both 2G and 5G.
I set it up OK when I brought it home on Thursday.
Today it says: Please add wifi network for...
I have specific device named selections for (Unknown)G, 2G, and 5G.
It will not accept any of them.
I even tried to connect to the hot spot on my iPhone no luck there either...

Ya, Feb build... Looks like only a few lucky got mcu2 with prod in february
Good morning.... i picked up my very first Tesla yesterday...100D midnight silver... needless to say.... prior to delivery... i read a great deal of threads on this board... given the fact that my order was confirmed on 1/14... i was very concerned whether or not my car would come with the new or older MCU. A few days prior to taking delivery... i had called my DA... and inquired.. i was informed on two seperate occasions that my vehicle indeed was equipped with the new MCU. Upon arrival yesterday... i wanted to verify the information that was forwarded to me prior to signing the documents... i Went to the whatsmyua page and under architecture... it came up undifined... obviously... i was expecting to see AMD... to say i was very surprised would be a minor understatement.... the tech specialist came out with his lap top and showed me using my vin number that i indeed had info 2 .... but he had no idea how some people were abke to see the AMD verbage
This morning.... i went to the Teslamcu.xyz and confirmed i had the new MCU

Obviously... im still in the process of “discovering “ what its like to drive a Tesla... so far... I’m VERY impressed!!

Yes, for anyone reading this thread, please do not rely on whatsmyua -- the information is inconsistent and not definitive for the Tesla hardware.

. i went to the http://Teslamcu.xyz and confirmed i had the new MCU

Yes, this is the site to use for a definitive answer to the MCU question.
