The 5 and 7 fold flat are not the same. The 7 seaters can slide forward and backward where the 5 is fixed!

Quality issues will never go away. They fix some issues and introduce new ones. Between my 2016 and 2018, I can see that's exactly the case. My 2018 FWDs (both of them) have issues closing, while my 2016 had issue opening. My 2018 hood up front was dented on delivery but I didn't care for it. The panel gaps were as bad as before. The 2018 bench seat button stopped working. Numerous squeaks/squeals after a month or 2, even worse than my 2016.I stand corrected I was talking about AP2.5 mid 2017 ..I held off getting my X for a year so I could specifically get 2.5 and was waiting for all the quality issues to go away ..I had early 2013 S than 2014 S ..and the quality differences were notable ..I’m usually early adopter but in case of Tesla’s glad I wasn’t
On passenger side, the door would close 90% and stops with obstacle detected error. A second closing usually closes it. The issue is that if I walk away while it closes I might not have known it didn’t close all the way. While there’s an audible alert when I am parked outside and am walking away from the car it’s not very obvious. SC said they’ve ordered pinch sensor and it needs to go to body shop for installation. This issue happens about 50% of the time.@outie curious on ur FWD issues mine was Jan build vin ~81k what issues in closing ?
I currently have a 2018 100D. Built in 03/18 with vin 91xxx.@outie ..bummer do u have a 75 or 100? Also if u don’t mind sharing what was VIN range ?

I sat in an X at the store yesterday. They have changed the FWD to solve the “paint rubbing” issue by changing the sheet metal design on the X door frame and adding a rubber stopper in a different spot on the falcon wing itself.
I also feel they’ve changed the way the center console cup holder covers “slide and lock.” No way to confirm this visually, but my X is only a year old and it feels different.
April 2016 - shortly after the X line shut-down. VIN 29XXWhat is your production date GoCanes?
I too like the retractable spoiler. Were there problems with it - or did it fall victim to production simplification for ramping up X production ?
Powered raising/lowering of the seatbelt height adjusters
MCU 2 seems to be really buggy now
#4. More squeaks around the car
That is a well known FWD door problem. It always slammed hard cause the paint inside scratched..
does the paint rub on your FWD's, Seattle Tom ?
Yes, there is a small spot on each door where it’s rubbed through. I should have put a bit of clear plastic tape over it early on but just forgot.
The SC said they’ll fix the paint with a body shop when I’m ready. Just not a priority for me since it’s a minor issue...
I see. Other than that they work perfectly ? And no leaking or water pouring In if you open them when it rains ?
Perfect for me. No water leaks (another change after launch that Tesla made was modifying the water channels above each door) and function perfectly, stopping themselves if they are going to hit anything!
Doesn’t look like too many changes since mid 2017 until now.
