Model X price drop and other goodies

Also interesting is there is no upcharge for interior options/colors on the P100D. All are included in the cost. Old pricing was $3,300 additional. Carbon fiber trim and spoiler are now included at no additional charge.

Model X also has a price increase of the six seat option to $6,000! $1,000 per seat Seven seat option is now $3,000.

I'm glad tesla keeps on helping early adopters (that made all this possible) anyway they can.

Obviously I'm not mad ab at price reductions. Just wish they would also help out early purchases with some retrofitability or dropping time of older cars 0-60. Etc.

My order just got confirmed last night at the old pricing, any idea how I can get the new pricing ? Should I call tesla or do you think they will adjust prices of orders already placed ?

I had this with my P85 back in 2014 - the prices reduced in Europe due to currency fluctuations, this before my car was manufactured. I complained like hell, but they wouldn't budge. I could have cancelled the order, re-ordered and saved €2500, but I didn't as I realise Tesla would still build the car and then have to off-load it somehow.

Now I find myself in the same situation as I have a €4000 deposit on an ex-demo P100DL - price on a similar car dropped €4k overnight, so I'm going to push again. Perhaps if I cancel and then re-order they'll let me re-use the same deposit. Perhaps I can negotiate a free set of winter wheels or perhaps a free upgrade to full autonomy - the latter costs Tesla nothing, but it's something I would add next year at some point.

After the 3 days do you lose $500 to cancel and reorder or the $2500 deposit ? Tesla has changed their prices in Canada significantly due to the exchange rate and now the same car I ordered on Monday is 10k less

I ordered My Model X 75D back in June, still hasn't gone into production but I checked my specs on the My Tesla website and noticed the same price drop (marked as showroom discount). Confirming with delivery specialist if this is true.

I took delivery of a new custom configuration X 100D 10 days ago. I am not at all upset that I just missed out on the price drop. As a TSLA investor, I applaud Tesla for reducing prices as they achieve greater manufacturing efficiencies. I am sure they are still maintaining their margins

You don't feel at all salty that 'early adopters' get little to no love?

Even people that pay for upgrading software locked battery look now and it's cheaper to do it later..

As a TSLA investor do you not think they are hurting the brand by teaching people to wait as long as possible?

AP1 AP2 now AP2.5, which I guess you missed out on as well?

That's because you have already taken delivery, 10 das ago. As a well-known member you are fully aware that Tesla won't do anything to early adopters. If you were to take delivery in 10 days you might have a different attitude.

Tesla really wants me to order the 75 instead of the 100. I was gonna do the 100, but the price on the 75 is getting better. 20k for extra 62miles and a faster charger?? Meh.

I like to think of it as an extra 25% in range. There's also the slight increase in acceleration but I know it's negligible in the everyday sense. I guess it depends on how many road trips you go on and how long you plan on keeping the car. If you're planning to do some longer road trips and have the car for a longer period of time, I could see the benefit of going with the larger battery despite the price. It's already an expensive car, no point in limiting it's usability if you can afford it, in my opinion.
