I would not take ads on Marketwatch too seriously. If you have a Tesla for which a recall has been issued, you would hear from Tesla. So please relax, and please don't use multiple exclamation marks and question marks in thread titles, it's unnecessary and frankly annoying.

They are just inspecting a cable to ensure it is tight. Also says maybe 3% of these 11,000 are affected

I received an email from the SC Sunday about this then yesterday a mobile technician came by my office...checked the back seat and said it was fine. 10 minutes. He said he'd already inspected about 15 X's and none of them needed to be repaired/adjusted.

So, this is the five seaters? When did they start producing seven (fold down) seaters? Mine was about September 1st, so, not affected... but the date is about when they started, no?

So, it sounds like Tesla will contact us. Besides BizNews, has anyone been contacted by Tesla and has had their X inspected? I haven't heard from Tesla since hearing about the recall. There's no recall notice on their website.

i haven't been notified, but upon further inspection it looks like the recall is only for the bench seats in the 5 & 7 seat configurations.

I was contacted by Tesla for my 5 seater.

They offered to either send out a mobile tech to fix it at my home, or address it on my upcoming service visit.

Why people are trying to make a big deal over this issue is beyond me. They are working hard to get a total 5 star safety rating on their Model X, and this will help them to get there.

Spinning a positive action by Tesla into being somehow negative serves no one. (except maybe the shorts)
