Yea, if you fo not itend, do not push the Order button, sure would like two Signature, but one early signature and one early Production is better.
Then I can make up my mind and deside if the price is right.

Instead of fix the wrongly ordered signature, Tesla canseled my early signature Nr and replaced it with production EU 2864 and upgrade my #645 production to Signature, Payment Pending.

Wrote a mail, where it was not hard to read that I was upset.
Got Replay they were sorry and would fix it asap.
Then my wife got a bill for $40 000, and both orders says Payment Pending, and both sequence numbers is gone. :-(
Guess they have had a lot to do, because all the Model S P85D orders. :)

Yea its been certainly showing that trend. A small drop off since the D announcement. Will be interesting to see if this continues. It may show that many people really want the Dual Motors.

I look at it a little differently. For many, AWD was the important feature and a larger vehicle was secondary (or just a consequence). That was true for me. In fact the S is a little big for my needs, and the X does not satisfy my needs for a real, rock-crawling SUV. I ordered a P85D and will probably cancel my X reservation soon.

That dip in orders is expected, and there is an unmeasured number of X to SD conversions. The real question is what the order rate for the X goes to after the SD news settles out.

My 2000 Jeep Cherokee will continue to fulfill my needs as the rock crawler, and for access to my solar farm:

The numbers in the USA are actually even worse than what the tally shows, since anyone who upgraded to a Signature in error was given a new reservation number in the 14,000s until they can restore their original numbers.

I think most of us assume that the numbers are not quite right. Because of upgrades/downgrades/cancellations... etc. But up until the D reveal I would have pegged it at no more than 10% of the reservations. Now... who knows? I still feel pretty confident that 2015 Model X production is still already sold out (or pretty nearly there), on the assumption that they are only going to be able to make 15-20k in the first year (which was the estimates Elon gave.)
