Beautiful! Get it right away, it’s a huge improvement I don’t even see it inside my garage.

One piece of advice is to lay down a strip of black vinyl or electrical tape along the silver trim piece running along the length of the white trim; there is a tiny gap and the white will really shine through

Solar Gard Vortex IR Ceramic 35% Front and 70% Windshield. Matches the factory tint in the rear pretty close and not too dark. LOVE IT!

For anyone who tinted the windshield: does the Model Y have the same concerns as the Model 3 where the computers are in the A-pillars, and there is risk of damage during a tint installation from the liquid used?

Yes same concerns. I believe they are below the dash. Just make sure the installer uses leak ropes to absorb any liquid.

Thanks! I used ‘Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic wax’ after washing the car.

Just got the ceramic tints done

Llumar Stratos 70 - windshield
Llumar Pinnacle 25 - front 2 windows
Llumar Air 90 - rear and hatch

Just wanted to closely match the rear and provide heat rejection.

Just waiting for the tints to fully cure now.

Here's another pic of the glare of the white dash. Definitely a bit annoying and your eyes naturally seem to focus on the white spot when you glance at the mirrors. Can't wait until the carbon fiber dash arrives.

Mannn… I wish I saw this first. Today I got 20% carbon and white reflection is just awful. I almost thought about just ripping the tints out. Just put on carbon wrap. Hope it gets better. I totally regret getting white interior.

no cap try a dashboard cover. either matte carbon fiber or wood. I got the hills wood dashboard and I love it. Real wood, WAY less glare and it makes the car different.

Just get a carbon fiber dash, or cover it with some flat vinyl. After getting my CF dash I don't even notice it anymore.

Yeah. I wrapped with CF and it’s somewhat better. I never noticed this with M3 but MY is very noticeable.

I did 35% in the front. If I can wind back the clock, 20%(18% with Suntek CXP) for clearly aesthetics and to match the rears. However, i do live in CA where tint laws are notorious.
