Nav Route Time Estimate and Re-Routing

Hey all --

We use the nav every morning to get to work. We live in the Central Valley of California and are making our way over to the Try-Valley area near Pleasanton/Dublin. There are two major routes you could take - the 120/5/205 route or the 132/580 route.

We noticed that it's pretty accurate in regards to estimating the time you will get to your destination. It either meets the time estimate really close within a minute or two, or exceeds it and we arrive early.

Has anyone turned down the setting that will let you re-route for? If so, what has your experience been with it? The routes it takes seem to be pretty good, but I think there have been a few times where we should have known and taken our own route but for the most part, it's really good.

What has your experience been? Curious to know if you set the time savings to re-route down to 5 minutes if it constantly is switching routes.
