New Car Wash Mode Not Working

So, I turned on the new "Car Wash" mode (from the latest software update). It's 24 hours later and my car is STILL as dirty as ever!!! Has anyone else got this feature to wok properly yet?

I'm really FURIOUS at Tesla .. thinking of a class action suit over this outrageous lack of functionality!!!!

Works perfectly on the Model 3/Y. No support on Model S/X so far.

@drtimhill had you read the release notes carefully, you would have seen FCWM (full car wash mode) requires the additional purchase of the Tesla robot, which is not shipping until 2022 + 2 weeks. What you have is "level 2" CWM, which requires you to apply constant slight turning force to a wet soapy sponge.

Well, I got it to work. Only 30 minutes after turning on the feature, it rained. Car all clean now.

Actually I called my SC and they told me that I need to fill the windshield washer tank with waterless car wash fluid. Then they will push a command remotely while I sleep and the car will be cleaned by the time I wake up.

Tried out CWM on my M3 yesterday. As per the updated manual, I added the required water, wash cloth, car "shampoo", grease from my elbows, and buckets. After about an hour, my car magically went from nasty to spotless!

Try the 2 button hold reset. I did it now car clean, world hunger solved, and terminal cancer cured.

The trick is to not run your car through a car wash and destroying your already soft paint.

I want 'smart wash avoidance' mode, where, if it senses water, it runs away from it.

the nice protective layer of dirt is there for a reason. took lots of effort to build it up and I dont want stupid water ruining all that work.

Mine works fine - its freakin awesome - totally blown my mind. My car was wet all over, I only would have needed to dry it but decided I would wait until it stopped raining.

Yes, and another way to keep the car in Neutral, without having to seat inside or to get the 20 minutes limit when using the Towing Mode.
This can be helpful for example when doing the alignment of the wheels.

Or also a simple way to avoid the car to lock itself when for example you want to keep your phone in your pocket,
but you are walking back and force to carry away stuff to or from your car.
Also a simple way to avoid the charging door getting open every time you pass to close and touching it when carrying something.
