I had it inspected at Plaza Shell on Route 109 in Milford. Very easy to get to from 495, and the gentleman there knew all about how to inspect a Tesla, since mine was about his sixth. I had to grin when I pulled into the station and the kid at the gas pump took one look and said "Well I guess you're not here for gas!".

As I pickup my MS85 October 3rd it's time to introduce myself.

My wife, son (9) and myself live in Swampscott, MA. I have been following Tesla since before the Roadster was available but never thought I would pay this much for a car. For years I have been commenting on the many virtues of the Model S to wife, as I'm an engineer I of course had to comment on constant torque curves, engines with no moving parts, the merits of regenerative braking, etc, etc to which her eyes would roll back in her head.

Fast forward to nine months ago, it's time to replace my daily driver, I really wanted something that was more fun to drive than my Accord. I was looking pretty seriously at an A4 (so small inside) or A6 and when we were contemplating paying $50k+ my wife commented "with how much you pay in gas (I drive 100 miles round trip for work (Salem, NH)) you might as well buy that Tesla". Man I love that woman!!!

I have already purchased the EcoHitch and Wispbars and planning to install them both myself (One summer job in college (BYU) was as a mechanic at a VW shop).

I want to leave this stating "You have no idea how excited I am to drive my MS everyday", but of course you do.

Hi all,

I've been lurking for ages, but started posting recently. I own a Tesla...logo jacket. My husband has a Model S and occasionally I'll take it out for a drive. When it came time for me to find a new lease this summer, I replaced my Toyota with a Smart ForTwo Electric Drive. I love it! I am hoping a three year lease will be enough time for Tesla's Gen III to hit the market. In the meantime, I think our gas lawnmower is nervous.

I'm in Massachusetts, right between Worcester and Boston.

My wife and I are doing the same thing in the opposite order. We leased our Smart ForTwo ED in June and will take delivery of our Tesla in October. We are also hoping that the Model 3 will be available by the time the lease is up on the Smart.

Ooh, P85! nice! With those colors, I do hope you'll take photos of the cars together, maybe with fall foliage in the background.

Hi, checking in from Leicester, just West of Worcester. No Tesla yet, waiting on the Model lll, but currently have two LEAFs until the '12's lease expires. The '15's lease is up in 2017 and hoping the Model lll will be ready. Only live a couple miles from the Auburn Mall and will try to post some photos as the SCs are being built. What's the photo posting protocol for this forum?

Welcome. Great to have someone who lives closer to the mall. I would love to get over there every day to check on progress, but I'm pretty much limited to weekends.

Not sure if there is a protocol. I try not to post a lot of duplicate messages with the same thing, so I mainly post to the main Auburn thread here. I'm sure people interested in Auburn will be checking there. I'm also not sure if there are limitations on when you can post pictures, but basically just do a reply and click on the Insert Image button to upload one or more files. Each file must be less than 2MB I think.

Welcome. Re photo posting protocol, there's nothing beyond normal TOS restrictions. As a courtesy, I suggest you size the picture to be easily visible on a typical screen.

Howdy, folks.

Checking in from Marshfield, Mass.

My wife and I test drove the Model S last month and loved it (and who wouldn't?)! We were absolutely convinced we'd just wait it out and do our best to be among the first Model 3 owners in the state, but then we got the call that changed it all. An absolutely beautiful, low-priced and low mileage multicoat red 2013 with pano roof and air suspension was getting traded in down in Jersey, and our Tesla Sales Specialist reached out and asked if we were interested. Well, duh...!!! So we've been driving our [like] new Model S for the past week, and it's every bit as amazing as we knew it would be.

Let me just say, too, that the sales guys in Natick and the service center guys in Watertown are amazing, and all car dealerships should rightfully be afraid of the Tesla sales model where the customer, not just profits, are the priority.

Oh, and still hoping to have one of the first Model 3's in the state! Pretty convinced I'll NEVER buy an ICE car again!

Yup, they do that!
One of the other TMC forum members posted that after his test drive down in Maryland, his sales rep showed him a list of inventory vehicles that included one for 57,800 (60 kWh, white, air suspension, panoramic roof, leather seats, supercharger enabled). That was easily gone in the next couple hours, but I emailed my sales specialist and said if he sees one in the 50's, I'm in. He said they almost NEVER see them at that price, but he'll call me if he does. A week-and-a-half later I was pulling out my credit cart to put a down payment on the one I got. When I next talked to him, he said there were Tesla reps all over New England asking him if I was taking the car because they had potential buyers. Yeah, they go that fast when the price is right. I just got lucky. Not sure what to do with these rear facing child seats, though...

Congratulations on your purchase!

I had a slightly different experience in Natick, as it took me few phone calls and emails to get a list of inventory list over the summer and the choice was very limited and nothing I really liked. I hit the jackpot couple of weeks later when there was a good low mileage, fully loaded one with brand new winter tire set from a seller in NJ, which I was able to go and take a look right away as I was in NY that same time, took that as a sign and a week later I was driving it back to Boston.

I'm probably going to be one of the first purchasers of Model 3 as well as soon as they are available, so far the experience is amazing and it's so much joy to drive the car (coming from a person that doesn't like to drive).

Greetings, New England Tesla owners and future owners! Long time, first time. We bought a few shares of TSLA two years ago. After a year and a couple of test drives, we we're hooked. The several weeks that we spent on 'Design' was worth it. Once satisfied, clicking on the 'Place Order' screen was done with confidence. Our Model S arrived in Watertown this past May. The car and service have been fantastic. We're now looking forward to some winter travel. With family in CT, Auburn MA will be coming on line just in time!
