Can this retrofit on a 2018 Model 3 Performance and also a 2019 Model 3 Performance work ? if, yes what is the part # I should be looking for for matrix ??

Nice ! What is the part # Sorry I have not been following the model 3 side of things for this retrofit, I am doing this for S & X and if it can work for 3 I will get that done as well. Also do I need an adapter cable for 3 to make it work ?

No adapters needed for the headlights. You will need the diagnostic cable like this to connect to toolbox https://www.amazon.com/Diagnostic-Service-Toolbox-Ethernet-1137658-00/dp/B0CCNJ9YKF/

I know myself, and probably a lot of others, would be really appreciative of you sharing your experience

I successfully upgraded my 2019 model3 with the new Global Matrix lights today thanks to all the great information shared here.
So thank you all for sharing.

Just follow the guide @Adam3 posted in #691.
I needed to install Toolbox proxy application like @terranx mentioned to be able to perform the steps.
The install Toolbox install file is available for download in the Toolbox menu.

Word around the Tesla groups is that Tesla is doing the config changes for about $40 for matrix headlights on the 3/Y. You source the lights and install yourself.

Are they just enabling normal headlight functionality with matrix lights or enabling full matrix usage in the US? Im guessing they are just enabling them to work with your car and not actually enable the matrix functionality.
