Thank you to T. P. in Houston, TX for signature #100,000. If Elon doesn’t present him/her with a Model S, perhaps we should take up a collection and send him/her a gift.
Yes. The data can be accessed by API and filtered / sorted as you like.I wonder if there is a way to see how many signatures by state?
Yes, and we'd be number 1 if we had stores instead of galleries.Texas is actually top 3 in Tesla sales I believe but is kind of funny it comes from Texas.
The ones still listed are ones that the WH has not responded to, but hasn't eliminated because of a "violation" of their "terms of participation". I hope our petition falls off the list quickly due to an expedient response. It appears that on the Popular Petitions page it lists even old petitions, so it would be advantageous to get even more than 100k signatures for the Tesla petition.

Keep encouraging people to sign the petition and let's see if we can reach 150k signatures. That would make the Tesla petition #3 in the Popular list.
Just visited the petition page and got this.

I guess Exxon/Mobil, Shell, and BP's campaign contributions finally kicked in, just under the wire.
We did it! 100,000 signatures in just 10 days. Thank you everyone who signed @whitehouse petition supporting Tesla allow Tesla Motors to sell directly to consumers in all 50 states. | We the People: Your Voice in Our Government
Woohoo, Tesla direct sales petition passed the 100k threshold! Thanks a lot to everyone that helped!!
If anyone gets a free Tesla it should be the petition originator
I wouldn't get hopes too high. I'd love to be surprised, but my guess is we'll either get a position statement or a long delay followed by a position statement.
Terrific achievement getting the 100,000 sigs! I am just hopeful that we get a meaningful response. I am not certain if any of you have read some of the previous responses but they seem to simply be position statements with little or no action as follow up.
Hopefully we can get something more here. What would be appropriate? A legal challenge by the administration to the franchise laws? An executive order preventing violation of the commerce clause (seems redundant)? Any other ideas? I don't believe the feds can initiate legislation that would force states to allow Tesla to sell direct.
Perhaps, but he did little to promote it. He initiated the petition on June 5. I found it on June 21 and became signer #238 then immediately initiated this thread.
