New S: Yoke or Nope?

That's a nope for me.

I think it looks great but will suck to use on the street. Maybe if it is a track only car it might work assuming you don't need to turn the wheel more than 90º.

I plan to test drive it in case "you gotta try it to believe it" and Tesla fixes their parts and service and I would be willing to buy another one, but from everything I've seen so far (including videos of yoke in use), the yoke is the one thing which makes a Tesla a non-starter for me right now.

Tesla is aiming high and that doesn't appeal to many. Hypercar 0-60 times and and 200 mph is no joke.

Kevin Estre is an amazingly fast driver. He just took 24hrs at Nurburgring SP7 class recently where he made crazy passes in awful conditions. Oh yeah, with a yoke as with all race cars these days. His arms are crossed-up here on this hairpin.

Absolutely positively negatory on the yoke, the myth of limited excursion Huracan style proportional input steering has been busted,
automatic one hand controlled center return is greatly hindered by the angular shape. They really xxxxed it up.

So awesome that he doesn't have a circular wheel to slow him down! Wonder how much HP the yoke adds...
