There is a new 8 stall Urban SuperCharger that is working (charging confirmed yesterday) but not sure it's "officially open" yet. Hat tip once again goes to Savannah G. who found the one at Scottsdale Quarter too!

Interestingly, it's right across the street from the 16 stalls at Scottsdale Quarter, so would have liked to have seen them in a different location that's without an SC now, but can't complain too much, more is always better regardless of location.

Those coordinates place it, not surprisingly, in the “garage-tunnel” directly behind the Tesla showroom. Do we know if these chargers are going to be publicly accessible or strictly relegated to company vehicles? The showroom performs a LOT of test drives.

So is it under construction or active? Are there any photos?

The Tesla showroom has a number of chargers they keep their cars plugged into. So you are talking about a separate facility in the same location?
I used the chargers at Scottsdale Quarter last month, weekday afternoon, nearly empty. Seems a shame to cluster chargers when Arizona is a little light on stations.

We were at the Scottsdale Quarter station on vacation last September and it was completely full that evening. Enough stalls there it's probably pretty empty outside the 5-10pm dinner crowds.

SouthWest corner of Kierland Commons. Already working but not yet on the car Nav yet. ICING has already started obviously...

That photo shows it is in a much better location than where it currently still is showing on the .info page.

I think it just very recently got fixed. It's now in the southwest parking lot instead of being aligned with the street address for the Commons. Try refreshing the map.

    So it is.
Gee. Now we don't have to walk all the way from across the street to hit either Shake Shack or our favorite Italian (17-mo. Gussie loves their pastas....) bistro.

Well, I'd have preferred it either in Delta Jct or Glennallen, but for the wintertime....happy!

I think this spot would be especially useful to have the signs with the AZ statute & $350 Fine like they have in Flagstaff etc. Does anyone know how to possibly get that added?

Odd location choice unless the one inside a parking garage two blocks away will eventually disappear. Probably a less pricey location if it is in an open parking lot. Of course if the new location will remain at 8 stalls, closure of the existing 16 would be a bummer.

Lots of Tesla owners not in N Phoenix/Scottsdale area probably wonder when/if they will eventually get some love from Tesla. Chandler would be a nice addition — hint, hint.

yes, a sprinkling around the state would help with trips. But I have to remember Scottsdale has more Teslas than Prescott or Bisbee.

Would have preferred something on the way out of town, down near where the 202 loop meets the I-10.

These will not be iced in the summertime....

I was down there last week and noticed they have on-street parking with chargers at the Quarter. Now that is some expensive real estate there, on-street parking in the Quarter is for Ferraris and RR.

Is this just a random stream of consciousness post in a random thread?

Mostly yes, but loosely tied to relevance because everytime there is a new SC in Arizona that is not Kayenta, I am happy, but frustrated at the same time.

Happy to have another but... placed within a block or two of each other when there is such a need all over the whole metro/state. Hard to truly agree with placement at this time.

Every site needs shade in AZ. They should all be like the Kattleman California site with Solar PV shade, Battery Power Packs to cover demand and or outages. This site so close to the Scottsdale Commons shaded garage just doesn't make sense.
