Supercharger - Burbank, CA - Victory Blvd (LIVE 28 Jun 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

I charged on Thursday and it zinged up to 250kw pretty quickly. I had started at about 30% as well. I believe there were about 6-8 spots available, so it was more than half full.

has this supercharger helped with the bottleneck in burbank?

Absolutely. Though from time to time I do see this 24 stall full. But when it is, there are plenty of stalls avail at the other two sites.

Last Saturday afternoon all 3 Burbank superchargers were full. Even after adding this 24 stall a few months ago. Man they have to leave the hammer down on the supercharger installations.

the problem is teslas don't charge fast enough, if we can go from 25min charge time to 15min, it will hugely improve this situation!

Yeah the charging speeds and the high speed charging curves can really use an upgrade. On our plaids the 250kW only lasts from about 10-40%. On our Ys from
10-25%ish.

Try charging one of those non-Tesla's. Your heart will slow to a stop. Have you seen the line at the EA over at Walmart on a weekend?

Actually most of them like the Taycan and E tron have fantastic charging curves. Taycan charging curve destroys our teslas. Their issue is not charging speeds, it’s infrastructure.

Really? Faster? Than why didn't the Taycan destroy the model S Plaid in the cannonball run that Kyle Connor did with his team? Destroy like that? Whatever do you mean, because I'd love to hear what you're talking about?

Because of the charging infrastructure.

A gentle reminder, this thread is about a specific Supercharger location, not the relative charging performance of different EVs or charging infrastructure.

Starting seeing the rates at the other Burbank locations start to go up and up and up so was happy to see this one… and now it’s rates are going up and up. Increased nearly 20 cents per kWh since like two weeks ago when I used it last during normal day hours. Guess I gotta go back to going at like 1am.
