New owner and feeling more ignorant the more I learn.
Sleeping and the teslafi vampire.
How are people assaying sleep?
Is it by sound of things in the car still running, or are you seeing it in a report?
I can often hear a wine from my car indicating some function is drawing power.
When a car is sleeping is it perfectly quiet?
I have no indication that my car has ever gone to sleep in the few weeks since her arrival.
Thanks for any perspective you care to offer.

I am running Teslafi and wondering if it is the source of my problems.
Must admit, I don't understand much of what Teslafi is trying to report.
Where is the key to their displays?

Hi @gcsmoore1,

Try these settings which work for my March 2018 Model X.
They have been copied from a thread "Phantom Drain 2-3%"
You are looking in the proper TeslaFi area, you just need to get the
settings right. I also suggest LOCKING the car even if it's inside your garage.
Keep the fob very far away from the car.
Do NOT check TeslaFi very frequently or you will keep the car awake.

Here are the settings I successfully use for TeslaFi and sleeping...

TeslaFi Sleep Mode Enabled - Checked
Time to try sleeping: 15
Do not check the vehicle state during sleep attempt - Checked
Idle Time before Trying to Sleep - 30
Enable Retry Idle Timer - Not checked Setting (Should not matter) 15
Reset Idle Timer When Offline - Not checked
Try to sleep requirements:
No Outside Temperature Reading: Not checked
No Inside Temperature Reading: Not checked
No check of change of state: Checked

I have cabin overheat protection enabled.
The car is in my garage at 40 to 50 degrees F.

Keep your key away from the car.
I have learned my car March 2018 X MCU 2 sleeps the most when it is LOCKED.
I even lock it in my garage.
My X started sleeping when I participated in a "Walk away door lock" thread.
Some posters wished it did not work while at home.
I thought about it and I did not care if it was locked in my garage.
THE SLEEPING STARTED VERY SOON after it was always locked in the garage.

Please try locking your car and adjusting the settings above...

Good luck,

Shawn

Thank you Shawn.
I have implemented your suggested settings and will lock the car now.
Let the trial begin.

Anyone still having this issue, I strongly recommend you do a scroll wheel reset.

My M3 had not slept since I received the 2020.12.11.1 update on 6th May (6 days). Previously I was on 2020.8.3. I performed the reset and immediately TeslaFi was able to put the car to sleep. It has had 2 sleep sessions, the first for a half hour, the second for over an hour and still going.

For the record, I also have both Stats and Tezlab apps running, with no adverse effects. And it is the middle of the day.
