A favorite activity of my wife and me is to go to the SF Auto show at the Moscone center the Friday after Thanksgiving. I was looking at the list of manufacturers and Tesla was not listed. I’m curious as to Tesla’s corporate rationale on this.

Yeah, the auto dealers cartel certainly isn't happy about competition from Tesla. There was a post here a few years ago, I forgot what city this happened in, but some local Tesla owners decided to display their cars in the parking garage of the venue where the auto show was happening. The show called the police and had them thrown out.If it like the Minneapolis Auto Show, it is put on by the state’s Auto Dealers Association.
Since Tesla doesn’t use Dealers, Tesla isn’t welcome at the Dealer’s party :|
I used to attend the LA auto show every year, but quit after I got my Model S. Everything I'm interested in seeing is at the Tesla gallery.
Agreed. At the snail’s pace Model 3s are being produced they need to concentrate on building cars for sale.Tesla is doing the Seattle International Auto Show though:

Runs through tomorrow. But don't expect to see the Model 3 there.
Yeah that ^^ auto shows don't do it for me anymore. At least not till the manufacturers start showing off their BEVs in the coming years.

I'm a Tesla fan but what is wrong about an organization putting together a show and excluding non-members from exhibiting? Private association, privately organized and funded event, organizer's rules. Should Tesla allow Ford, GM and others to exhibit at their reveal events?Similar situation here in Utah. The Utah New Car Dealers Assn (I'm tempted to leave off the "n" ) will not allow Tesla to display at their shows.
Should be cached on the internetarchive or elsewhere on the net. What is the name of the company?A local TV station did a story on the display being blocked. The story was also on their website but only until someone from the New Cars outfit visited and the piece "mysteriously" disappeared.

They certainly did do the SF show (in fact, it was the first auto show Tesla attended, see link from 2006). I saw the Tesla Roadster there and got interested in Tesla.Tesla seldomly attends auto shows. I don't recall that they've ever done the SF show.
Correct. Shortly after it disappeared from the station's website a number of folks found it somewhere and posted it on their own websites. Company is Vanderhall Motor Works. Just found the piece on YouTube:Should be cached on the internetarchive or elsewhere on the net. What is the name of the company?
I'm thinking people going to the unveil wouldn't mind checking out the Porsche Mission-E, Faraday Future FF91, etc. Maybe not everyone, but a fair number probably would.Personally I'd have no problem with that. But I doubt they'd want to be there as folks could then more readily see what ICE makers are foisting on a mostly unsuspecting public.

Did you go? So what is Tesla showing there then that they don't show in the Seattle or Bellevue showroom? Vintage Tesla's? FSD teaser videos? SpaceX rocket parts?Tesla is doing the Seattle International Auto Show though:
