No Text Alerts for One Person

All - I have a model Y and the on screen text messaging works fine for all of my contacts except one. And the key issue is that happens to be my significant other.
When they text me - I never get an alert that they texted me. I have an iPhone and I do NOT have them set for Do Not Disturb.
Now, the one difference from all my other contacts is that they do have a profile established for the car itself - not sure if/why that would make a difference though.

Has anyone else experienced this? Troubleshooting ideas?

Do you have any non alphabet characters in their name on your phone? Meaning, does the name you have assigned to them on your phone have anything like hearts, ampersands, emojis etc in it? If so, remove that and see if it works.
