That's great you were compensated. I'm really surprised they chose to lose actual money, though, in place of what amounts to a free upgrade that costs them nothing. I'm not sure what kind of financial sense that makes. I get that Tesla values that upgrade at $9k or whatever it is, but they've essentially made a bet you'll pay to upgrade in the future, making that $3500 cash refund a better deal for them. I'm not sure that's a good bet. I wonder what the 60->75 upgrade rate is.
