North America map update

Curious if anyone knowns a timeline or rough ETA when the next update to the maps in NA will roll out? seems like its been a while since the last one and I would love to finally have my apartment no longer on "unmarked road"

I've had my car since April of 2021 and received 2 map updates so far.

My car was delivered with NA-2021.44-13555 which I believe was updated in January of 2021.
Downloaded NA-2022.28-14046 in August of 2022
Downloaded NA-2022.44-14515 in May of 2023

I don't think there is a predictable pattern.

I wish Waze would update their maps…. I find the Tesla to be pretty accurate and reliable, whereas Waze has a tendency to get really confused even a year after new construction on the highways in this area has been completed.

Unless something has changed Waze doesn’t update their maps, Waze users do. In the early Waze days I was often clicking on Add Road or something like that. Waze would show a symbol, I think it was a tractor, while you drove on an unknown road. IIRC you also added the name of the road. About 5 days later you‘d get a message thanking you for adding the road and it would appear on the map.

I would make sure that you have reported the missing road on TomTom mapshare, Google and open street map. No one seems to know which on or one’s Tesla uses

How did you download the maps? I’m on a NA2022 version. Firmware is 2023.32.6. According to Tesla-info.com the latest map version is NA-2023.20 and would like to update before a cross country trip next week.

You have no control over when Tesla pushes an updated map to your car.

It appears to me that only people using FSD beta have received the 2023.20-xxxxx map update. Everyone else is still on the 2022.44-xxxxx map.

Hope it’s widely available soon. On a cross country trip now and found a few spots in New Mexico on I-40 that did not coincide with the on-screen map.

Another data point - went to the software tab today and it started downloading maps NA-2023.20-14566 over WiFi. Previous version was NA-2022.44-14515.

Took about 30 minutes just to download at 3.7 MB/s. It's big.

SW version is 2023.27.6, FSDb 11.4.7.2.
