inside knowledge;)
Well, please tell them 6 stalls is not enough, haha we need at least 20 stalls V3 there.

The new complex will be a nice stop, coming together nicely.

This complex looks like it might needs a couple more months to be finished. But it is looking very promising!

Definitely a good spot for a charger, directly off the highway.

I hope Cybertruck will fit inside of here lol

New supercharger location coming to Surrey - down the road from Guildford Mall. In the new development Guildford Village 156th st and 104th ave. 6 stalls. This one is much easier to get to from the highway..
Wish you could push for a Supercharger in Campbell River and/or Comox/Courtenay. Tough for Tesla drivers to explore past Nanaimo to the north or west.

This Save On Foods location is having it's grand opening (August 26th, 2021, this Thursday 7 am).

I wonder if underground parking will be open and possibly the chargers as well?
Majority of underground open to public now; SC and L2 chargers build out part of Phase 2 by end of year. Beyond the SC, there will be plenty of charging options in the parkade..

So wierd a 250KW next to a 72KW, guess they are abandoning the 72 idea. Always was painfully slow, but you could get some food and then sit there.
72kW is for “Urban Superchargers”, for malls, residential charging and areas where you might stop longer at.

Nowadays, for reference, 90% of the Tesla's in BC are SR+ due to the $8000 Government incentives. Which come with a +/- 56kWh battery.

Which is maxed out at “160kW” but I have yet to see it charge that fast. More around 120kW max speed for 5 minutes next slowing down to mid 70-80kW’s above 50% SOC battery. Which is perfect for Urban Superchargers & V2 superchargers.

This location is 250kW because right off HWY, a connector point between Vancouver to Hope, quick 5 minutes stop and back on the road.

The other location is 72kW, because it is in a mall situation, and more for residential charging as people do not have home charging.

This also shows us that Burnaby will be 20 stalls, 72kW, at Brentwood mall, for residential charging, rather than travel charging.

Could be well be 12 stalls, V3, but these reaoucres at Tesla are scarce so I would be surprised to see charging speed to be chosen over customers served as more people charging = more revenue.

Also South Surrey/ White Rock, we sadly won't be getting covered parking, unless at the underground Grandview PC parking lot.

My money is Semiahmoo Mall, or by the Grandview BC Hydro station.

Place your bets, everyone! 😆

South Surrey, maybe Walmart parking lot the one in the corner of 24th ave and 160 street.

This segway should be in a South Surrey Supercharger thread.
That said, there are no locations off King George that can hold 20 stations.
They would probably be 72kW if there isn't enough capacity for 150kW.
250kW would not be possible as 20 stations, at least, would be required for the area within 10km.
Grandview in the parking in front of Superstore next to the street or over by London Drugs closer to the power lines would provide enough space and not take away from most customer parking.
Semiahmoo would be ideal for all the new people in the major developments across the 16 Ave.
But Semiahmoo is going under re-development soon itself, I think, and space is tight in their parking lots around there.
Once again, if Tesla were smart and did their research, 20+ stalls are needed and you can only fit 20+ in certain places in South Surrey around malls and amenities.

@Vancity-Tes1a my first choice would be Southpoint mall. It has a good selection of amenities (Save-on Foods, Starbucks, Tim's, Wendy's, Canadian Tire, Staples, Milestone's, Cactus Club around the corner) and a huge parking lot that's never fully occupied. It's also VERY easily accessible from Highway 99 and 152, so good for v3 travel sc. And most importantly: close to home for me :)

My second choice would be Morgan Crossing since there is Thrifty foods, Starbucks, Chipotle, Chopped Leaf, Noodle Box, Sushi Castle, London Drugs, etc. It also has a generous parking lot with the middle section rarely being near fully occupied. It's not right near the highway or 152 and is a bit out of the way but could still be a candidate for an urban SC maybe?

My last choice would be Semiamhoo (spelling?) mall. As far as malls go, it's a bit sad (for selection of stores) though it does have Save-On and Shoppers Drug Mart along with some dining (Browns, a sushi place, and a food court that's not great).

@wdelacruz sorry missed your response before I posted mine above, but 20+ stalls could easily be accommodated at Southpoint (anywhere along the central parts, or even toward the end that used to be Pier 1 and I forget what it is now). Morgan Crossing could also easily dedicate 20+ stalls in that middle section that runs between the Vancity->Thrifty arm and the LD->medical clinic arm.
