coincidentally VIN has disappeared

Just checked and my VIN is gone. Sheesh, what a mess. I called Tyco and the rep did say they still show the VIN on my account, it's just not showing on my end. Hmm...strange. He didn't know why that was happening other than it may be something being updated on Tesla's end. We'll see!

...and the VIN is back. Same one. I think I’ll just quit looking until I get the call.
 
Delivery has been moved up! Picking up tomorrow afternoon. Nice surprise. Tesla rep I spoke with said the batch of Y's they received looked great quality wise. Taking that with a grain of salt until I do the inspection tomorrow. Either way hope some others here got the call as well.
 
they just called me to let me know that my car had unacceptable defects and they've rescheduled our pickup to 7/31 from 7/26 to address the issues. Honestly really appreciate their honesty and it saves me a trip to ultimately arrive at the same determination of reject.

That's really great. I hope they level with me if my VIN is crappy upon arrival. I just had my wall connector installed today so I'm ready!

Wow, that's great! When was your original pick up scheduled for? They moved mine to next Wednesday, when I was supposed to grab it this past Wednesday. I'm very hopeful for a weekend or Monday call.
 
Same original schedule, was suppose to take delivery last Wednesday but they pushed me to this upcoming Wednesday. Called me this afternoon asking if I could come tomorrow. Interesting to hear about the call about unacceptable quality - at least they are honest. I asked and the advisor said my car had *1* service related item to get fixed up before delivery. I straight up asked how the quality was, panels etc. and got the response of “everything looks great”.

Yeah if it's "in spec" you'll get that answer every time. But still, great to hear. Good luck tomorrow!

I didn’t ask about the car’s condition. Would rather go in without expectations and willing faith in Tyco not trying to deliver a completely messed up car.

I agree. I don’t want the experience robbed because I’m too worried. Too excited.
 
I took delivery on Saturday after having my original delivery date of 7.22 pushed to 7/29. A number of other deliveries happening at the same time. Counted 4-5 Y's on the side of the building with a few more being driven around from the back. Fair amount of people were there test driving or talking about the other models as well.

Overall, it was a painless experience. Signed a few docs (so not really that touchless), submitted final payment, inspected the car, had a few questions for the advisor as this is my first Tesla and then off I went. About 1 hour start to finish.

I will be calling later this week to schedule a service appointment for some of the issues (slight panel and trim gaps, etc) that were noted during the inspection.

Another shot in the dark here but if anyone is taking delivery with inductions and wants to swap with my gemini's I will gladly pay for the switch plus $ on top as it's my one regret not ordering the config like this from the get go.
 
Hey guys picked up my MY White/White Performance and brought my list, there a lot of stuff with the car nothing not repairable but I took my time and went over every little detail with the delivery specialist and he was very friendly and was willing to work with me to get everything scheduled after I leave. Right now a few issues with the fitments, lf door is not aligned perfectly, the spoiler is not put on correctly, a few paint chips, there was some residue to something and it could not get it off.

Over all i am happy and pleased with it, I ordered a few mods and they are coming tomorrow, the best one is cf white steering wheel cant wait.

I took delivery yesterday and I will post my experience as a new thread. But I can tell you that they were awesome to deal with. I had a few issues, none were dealbreakers, and already have a service appointment set up to make adjustments to some panel issues. But it’s a joy to own and drive so far.
