Isn’t that for repaired parts and paint? Not original parts. This is true for almost all cars. If you get a something fixed under warranty it will have an additional 12 months of warranty. Say you got something fixed under warranty 3 years 364 days after the purchase of the car. The car warranty expires in one day. But that replaced part will still have 12 months if warranty.
