Old warranty copy

Have you checked the waybackmachine? It's amazing how useful that site is for finding old stuff.

I am told that if you email the legal department at Tesla, they can provide a copy of the warranty in effect when you purchased your car.

However, it turns out I had a copy from Oct 2018.

The Tesla Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty begins on the purchase date of the part(s), and coverage extends for a period of 12 months or 12,500 miles, which ever comes first.

I didn't remember reading that before.

That's not much of a warranty compared to other cars. This has me rethinking that cyber truck preorder.

Isn’t that for repaired parts and paint? Not original parts. This is true for almost all cars. If you get a something fixed under warranty it will have an additional 12 months of warranty. Say you got something fixed under warranty 3 years 364 days after the purchase of the car. The car warranty expires in one day. But that replaced part will still have 12 months if warranty.
