I follow Battery Life on YouTube and watch his videos on occasion.
He's been waiting on OTA 3.0 "for ages" (and, in the meantime, I think he has placed an order with different brand, having been a keen VW supporter).
Spoiler alert:
Anyways, I watched the video of the shenanigans he had to go through to install it ("Turn off side lights" - is the update really incapable of doing that ?) not to mention some very non-obvious notifications that an update was available. Once initiated it resulted in "Get out of the car and leave it be for 8 hours" ... and then all sorts of mayhem until a second update was installed ... and although he seemed happy with the improvements that was (if I understood correctly) 18 months since the last OTA he got ...
VW has a bit of catching up to do, on that front, I reckon.
