OK, Ski, this is it! Either we both get ours at the same time or...not. However, IIRC both of us are taking delivery in the area most served through the Birmingham railhead. So, it is just possible that there are a flood of our cars arriving there now. We therefore will hear good news within the next week or so.Not yet! There’s no MCR (Red/20/Black)!

Yes, but only Delivery Specialists who are mad with volumes of M3 RWD's to deliver. They haven't any clues. My suspicion is that only production specialists really know. The only reasonable inference is that production has been batches, which made all the white interiors and P3D/P3D+ on a single line while black interiors stayed RWD.
Obviously we conservative people who don't want to drive a Shamu imitation are stuck waiting.

Nope. P- are coming with black -- in fact, all but three recently reported P- have come with black.
Reported VINs to date: 18 P- black; 3 P- white; 23 P+ white; 0 P+ black.

I plan to swap the interior to red as soon as I get mine. I had BMW Z4 that was Alpine White with red interior and I loved it. Not my picture, but it looked like this:
In any case, I've reached out to a friend who is a Tesla engineer. Not sure if he knows anything or allowed to say anything, but I'm getting desperate

On a positive note, what's 80+ days on top of the 780+ I waited before that. =D
Also, the new WoW expansion launches tonight and I took the rest of the week off, so I'll be thinking about it less, haha.

Im thinking about Fred Lamberts Canadian P3D+ that was assigned a VIN and scheduled for production this week. Its got black interior. Surely they aren't just going to make one car, just for the editor of a media outlet who lives in another country, and then switch back to white interior.
If they do, that's really messed up. So.... this really SHOULD be the week this variant rolls out.

I didn't realize I was editing my car into the unicorn configuration that isnt being built, or maybe I would have thought harder about it.
Day 1 line waiter in VA, previous owner reservation - config AWD 5/23, edited to P+/black 8/6. After original config, estimated delivery was 12-16 weeks. After edits, was Sep-Nov.
Went to test drive P3D today, had a blast and got excited, came home and est. delivery is now showing Oct-Dec. Sigh.

Mine still shows Aug-Oct, so I imagine you will still be in the early cars for the unicorn config if you're a day 1 line waiter who had access in May.

I'm starting to wonder if I screwed myself out of a federal rebate just by opting for upgraded wheels. Ironic.
There's a P+ Black/Black here in Rocklin that was waiting for customer delivery! Hopefully we can see more soon!

I am in the same boat with the exception of being a previous owner. I did about the same steps you did with the configuration but I made my last change on July 14th to final P3D+ Black Interior with Blue paint. My timeline says Aug-Oct. IMHO, I think your car will be delivered about the same time as mine despite your later configuration. Tysons has the slowest delivery time according to the sampling from the community spreadsheets so we have that to look forward to.
