Looking at that list, I don't feel so bad. The hard part is when someone posts "But the Las Vegas center has 10 Performance cars all with under 10 miles just sitting there!"

And I am close enough to San Diego, that if there were cars there, I would drive. I figure once the two weeks is up, I may ask my specialist to look at what is around if anything (2019 is a must)

Anecdotally, I was told there was no longer any 2018 performance inventory available. It was all cleared out at the end of the last two quarters. My 'inventory' car was built on 3.27.19

Taking a look in a few other threads, it looks like some folks (maybe one or two) who ordered in mid-March and are not in the tracker are seeing VINs start to populate. There was a Blue/White P3D on the east coast of Canada that I saw yesterday in one of the other threads. I feel like we're all getting close, but me being the only white exterior on the board right now makes me a little extra nervous.

Why didn't the sales rep tell me about these, if they were available when I called yesterday? Do they only look a certain distance away unless specifically asked to look nationwide? I see people mentioning store X or Y has these available so am I just supposed to call them myself as the buyer and inquire? Not sure what the standard practice is.

My understanding is if it’s not in region there is a cost to transport so it’s possible the reps don’t search and/or don’t want to offer something that may have additional fees, or they are busy and already have an order placed that should arrive in Q2. All kinds of reasons I supposed. I also got the information a couple of days ago and it’s possible they are no longer available. Check if you are interested but not what you would expect for the cost of the car.

Looking at that list, it really appears that they ship out the majority of a quarters cars at the end of the quarter. Only one car has been delivered in this quarter. Now lots of those people probably got their cars, and never updated, but look at the bold dates.

At the same time, we see these reports of cars available in the wild... which is to say, out West. I’m in Philly so every time I mention to a Tesla person that I hear there are cars waiting on lots in Las Vegas or Portland or Fremont or whatever, they don’t reply or change the subject.

Someone asserted that all the early quarter production was headed overseas, and then someone else countered firmly that current factory production was for North America. I don’t know where either of those assertions come from.

Here’s an idea: given a couple days, I’m sure some programmer could interface with Tesla’s logistics system and make it email a daily update to everyone who’s got a pending order. ‘We built 100 cars today but they didn’t match yours. Hang in there!’ ‘We did a batch like yours but there were 300 orders ahead of you. Two more batches and we’ll send one your way.’ It would take so little and make so many people happier.

Ordered a Blue P3D today with black interior, and FSD. I placed my order in person at the Tesla showroom in Owings Mills, MD. I was quoted 2-5 weeks.

I was given a verbal estimate of 8 weeks earlier today. Have not ordered, going to drive a LR RWD on Monday, and probably decide within a week. Fortunately I have a neighbor who has offered to let me drive his Performance, but I haven't taken up him on that offer, yet.

Thanks, that might have been me. 27-Mar order blue/white, got VIN yesterday (2019) picking up 20-Apr in Oakville Ontario.

I also saw a car carrier load of Tesla’s heading into Toronto probably destined for Scarborough or Montreal early this evening.
