No fee, but you're gambling on your delivery date, could be sooner, could be later, all depends what they're making and how many orders are in
I got my delivery date on 8/10! Im pumped.
Thanks Thursday. Macau and Hong Kong delivery day will be fixed on Sep, so my concern is changing order in two months time (include building and shipping overseas).
I ordered July 27th, I am set for delivery on 8/10, so exactly 2 weeks order to delivery.
Ordered white on black P3D+ July 21. VIN on 7/26 and delivery scheduled for 8/2. Car was still in transit and didn't arrive until this morning in Charlotte (8/3). Charlotte store delivery team were great and worked me in this evening. Less than 2 weeks total and haven't really found much to nit-pick on the car yet so I'm stoked.
That's the proper stuff, when you get your VIN and delivery date then you get your final payoff quote.
I was able to find a performance M3 with 18' aero wheels (exactly what i wanted) in stock at the Plano, Tx location. Ordered 8/2 and my first pick up option was 8/14. i was a bit surprised by that. i would have assumed i could pick it up monday. But oh well.
Quick question, i have read something about "states licensed to sell Teslas" in the final payment screen (my down payment)...Any differences buying in Texas vs another state that does allow direct sales?
Also, any tips on taking delivery?

Can anyone who took delivery of the latest batch confirm that it comes with the spoiler and performance badge installed?
Yes mine came with everything installed. But the firmware is old, still don’t have beach buggy. Picked car up yesterday. Delivered 9 days from order date.

How is it that some people are getting their white interior, performance cars so fast while others are waiting weeks upon weeks?
*On a side note*
I decided to install my wall charger today rather than waiting closer towards my delivery date. I figured I can gaze and lust over my installed Tesla charger in hopes it'll quench my thirst until the real deal shows up. lol I was amazed at how simple the installation actually went. Mainly because I already have a sub-panel in a very convenient location.
