A good suspension makeover will get the balance pretty well sorted even without an aggressive alignment. The springs my coilovers came with have a 1.375 rear:front stiffness ratio (or 0.727 front:rear) and that seems to give a very nice balance. Feels oh-so-close to neutral. This is with stock sway bars, and damper adjusters set the same front & rear. My alignment is basically stock, no adjustable arms, height very close to stock M3P "lowered suspension" height.
For autox I imagine you want all the rotation you can get, maybe you'll want even more!
I'm a black wheel/trim guy through and through but I was too lazy to blackout the trim so I embraced it and I don't hate it lol. This was the C7 I traded for my 3... I replaced every bit of chrome with black (except the tail pipes but they were next on the list)
