I took delivery on May 22 and have yet to receive anything from DMV. Expecting registration, plates, and title. It was a used model S.

They are usually quicker with new registrations as opposed to used/transfers.

Really? There was a note on the envelope that said match the data but there was nothing in the outside window. Just the plate...

There should be a sheet of paper in the envelope that lists the contents they sent you. 2 plates 1 month sticker and 1 year sticker.


The question I can't seem to find an to, I ordered vanity plates. Based upon advertised timelines I still have another 1 to 2 months to wait for the plates to come in. Does the DMV also provide registration stickers for the vanity plates?

Nope. Ugh. Guess I better call the DMV. Nothing was in that outside packet of the envelope.

Yes, when you go to pick up the vanity plate/turn-in your sequentials, they give you new month/year stickers. They will be the same month/year as on your sequentials.

I picked up my Y on May 29th and I haven't received my license plate. Has anyone who picked up their car after this date received their plate?

Since I got my pink slip for the car, I know that the problem isn't on Tesla's end. I was just wondering how Covid is impacting license plates.

Got mine last week at 7 weeks and turned around and ordered the black/gold ones ... so I guess I'll wait another 7 weeks ... temps are good until Sept
