They can set the TPMS thresholds with the tool. Perhaps the limits were set wrong.

Make sure it's set to Average. It always defaults back to instantaneous.

Yeah, that seems like something they should fix. Reminds me of the early trip computers that showed instantaneous MPG... hundreds of MPG going down hills and single digits accelerating or going up hills. Not very helpful. Average is much more representative, and I always have to remember to click the button when I flip on that screen.

I noticed that and made sure it was average, not instantaneous.
