Rear Door Handles

Hi everyone

Quick question

Had the car into service centre to get some minor things sorted. Spoke to the guy about the rear door handles on my M3P. The handles are nowhere near flush with the body, like the front ones are. He’s told me that “they’re all like that”

Can anyone confirm the above please, fellow M3 owners?

Yep, front ones are nigh on perfect, rear slightly recessed. Not enough to worry me... but yes, M3P and like that.

One of my rear ones is slightly recessed, other is worse, about 7mm out

My rears are slightly recessed as well, so I guess they are mainly like that.

My fronts are flush but the rears are recessed by 2mm or less

Same with me. I noticed the other day and nearly started a similar thread - my rears are slightly recessed compared with the fronts. But for me the important thing is both sides are the same - i.e. both fronts are flush and both rears slightly recessed by the same amount.

I think if both sides are the same I'd be happy. If one side is worse than the other then probably get it looked at.

Drivers side rear is slightly recessed but not enough to bother me. Passenger side is flush, like both front doors

Both my rear ones are recessed quite a bit
