Ordered 9/8/21
Delivered 9/29/21

MYP White/White with FSD and tow hitch. Some cosmetic issues as expected, but nothing too major... except for maybe the paint issues by the headlights?

1. Chip/scuff through the paint on the left front fender
2. Frunk/front bumper gap is larger on the passenger side
3. Paint bubble at the edge of the driver's side headlight
4. Paint scraped by the edge of the headlight on the passenger side
5. Driver's side fender camera gap seems larger than the right.
6. Missing rear underbody bolts/screws
7. Pinched trim around the front driver's side door.
8. Scuffs on roof glass that I cannot scrape off with my nails
9. Holes/tears/rips along the trim around all the doors... maybe this is a design feature?
10. Alignment is slightly off - car veers towards the left if the wheel is held centered.

Let me know what you guys think! Would you insist on them fixing the issues with the paint around the headlights? I just don't want those two areas to be a cause for paint to chip off later on. First service date available in my area is early November. I assume this is because I have to take it to the service center for the alignment issue, and I cannot have mobile service performed.

I thought you don’t have to make the final payments until the day of delivery inspection?

I paid prior, and did the same last year. Last year an intern drove it and i was able to talk to him about it and inspect it. This year not so much.

Youre in the Bay Area, they are going to avoid the hell out of you. My delivery appointment on portal was 2am. Received text saying delivery was confirmed and that i would receive email when delivered. Texted back giving instructions and asked for a time. No response just an email saying my car was delivered. So no chance to reject it

I don’t have home delivery as an option nor do I want that. I’d be happy to take a day off and go there to check it out in person before taking the car.

Sorry to see that… seems like some highway damages from transporting to TX.

Congrats on the car! Looks great. I had a paint chip on drivers side door and they just used touch up paint. My SA used more than needed and it stands out. They might do the same to yours. Thought I’d give you a heads up

I’m aware, if you’re close enough to the factory they deliver it to you, you don’t have to option. I live in San Jose and both times was home delivery, even though chose factory pickup. Was going off the info in your header/bio

does your rear bumper and front bumper color is off from the body panel color, mine has a obvious yellowish tint and not matching and already scheduled SC to look over next week.

Picked up the car at the end of 9/28.

Read on for my delivery/pickup experience, otherwise, best of luck!

Initially they scheduled home delivery for 9/29 between 8AM to 12 PM but I finalized everything during the day and the SA asked if I wanted to pick it up that evening in Buena Park. I asked how late and he said they would be there late. I asked if 8:00 PM was ok and he confirmed they would be there but changed my delivery to 7:00PM.

I get to the center a few minutes before 8 and walk by a young gentleman taking a pic with his new M3 then proceeded into the showroom. Only a security guard was inside and he escorted me to the back where there was another employee and a group waiting for their car. Poor guy working the back looked exhausted. He asked for my name then just told me the car was parked in a numbered space on the lot. He walked me over to the car and told me to use the app to unlock the car, congratulated me, and went on to put more license plates on cars waiting to be delivered.

I'm not sure how I feel about the whole purchasing and pickup process. It's super efficient but rather soulless. I didn't physically sign a single form. The keys were locked in the glovebox, accessed with my Tesla account password.

Both front windows make a loud click at a certain point on the way down. The right front door requires more force to close but the panel gaps look great. Tiny scratch on the trunk but I don't really care about that. I have the homelink kit waiting so I scheduled a mobile service appointment to install it and fix the door/windows. OC appointments were 2 days out compared to 2 weeks out in LA. They're coming to do that stuff at my workplace this afternoon.
