I think it's just a step away from being told that my 5 seat LR is never going to be produced.

Likely, many people have died from age and diseases before they received their orders... That's so heartbreaking.

Sounds like broken record but my EDD moved to April as well.

Question: I am surviving on monthly car rentals for past few months as Tesla keeps toying with me with EDD moving by a month. Is there anybody similar situation like me?

Does anyone have better and less expensive suggestion in my situation? I considered Volvo subscription but it has 5 months lock so I am not sure about it.

It’s not the cheapest, but I was renting a car monthly as well, after 3 months (3k dollars later) I just went and bought an 09 Camry for 5k. That was in March of last year. It’s paid for itself now, and when I finally (hopefully) get my X I should get at least 5 for the Camry.

Good luck though, it’s kind of a lose lose situation.

It’s been over a year now and with this month to month push back with the sprinkle of random VINs it’s become impossible to plan my life. Summer vacation? Visiting relatives? Nope. Can’t schedule anything because what if Tesla decides that the time I’m away is their unmovable 3 day pickup period when they’ve been screwing with MY schedule for over a year? I’m so over this company.

And worse, once I have the car, the customer service still blows so I better not have any problems, right? I keep asking myself why the hell am I even doing this anymore? Maybe it’s a sign from the universe to move on to something else.

I travel extensively for work and what I am really concerned about is the crappy delivery windows they offer. I'm just waiting for the call telling me to"be here between 24 minutes ago and sunup tomorrow or lose your car".

Yes. There won't be any more tweets from him on X for sure. It's just to settle the dust. Until they really have all the parts and ramp up the production, then the EDD would make sense. Currently, it's just a toy that they are playing with

I don't understand your point. In my post I said that yokes work fine on a racetrack since as you said, you don't turn the wheel that much. However they are worse than a wheel in the real world where you are making u turns, maneuvering in parking lots, etc.

I am just learning about @rhuber's work on bringing M3 stalks to the Refreshed S/X and I hope to make that swap too. I'm still on the fence about M3 wheel vs modified yoke - I have more reading to do.

The limiting factor is that they are using interior trims to make and deliver Plaids as fast as possible because those yield a higher margins.

Garbage excuse because plaid uses carbon fiber and long range uses wood.

Just like we’ve seen massive delays in other industries due to silly foam.

Tesla is a joke lol. LR X moved to April ordered 1/22/21. My Plaid X ordered 9/6/21 still says EDD feb 24 - march 17. I’m counting on the plaid at this point lol

Like many of you I decided to take evasive action in regards to my LR Model X. I ordered my wife a LR Model Y on 2-1-22 thinking the X may not come in March. I changed that order to a Model Y Performance this morning after the April place holder went active. This afternoon I received a VIN and delivery window for the Model YP within the next 2 weeks. I'll sell my current LR Model Y if the X ever arrives. You can't make this up!
