Model X Refresh. Day 547. Took delivery!

She’s fantastic. Went through the checklist and they were very patient with me. No issues so far, except gaps in the trunk. I have pics and will schedule service for that,

Just drove about 150 km (90 miles) mostly on highways, got things calibrated, premium connectivity set up (the first year is free) and am just now updating the software. No issues with the yoke, and could barely see the yoke worm.

Glad that you FINALLY got this. Enjoy it - it's certainly a step up from what I've previously driven from Tesla.

After a month of driving it, I wish for a few things: a return of the stalks for turn signals and gear selection, that they move the seat belt locks more outboard for the middle row captains chairs (pinches the butt/hip_, along with making them foldable for better cargo capacity. Maybe better side bolsters for the front seats (adjustable). Doing the aftermarket hitch makes a difference too.

Otherwise, it was great taking it up to Muskoka for a trip - everyone was quite comfortable and sufficient cargo room. I'm still assessing the range capacity as the X ate through it far faster than expected, however, I was a "little" over the speed limit. I've got a couple more trips up that way for the next few weeks, so I'll be putting it through it's paces.

At Tesla store. They won’t let me into car without hitting accept. I noticed a few minor misalignments but nothing too worrisome. I had to push a piece of trim back in as well. Exterior fit and finish is much better than the one I rejected last month. Paint too. This was built in July and vin 351xxx. I noticed an error w the paperwork not showing the $2000 credit bc I ordered way back before refresh price change. They are working w finance department to correct before having me accept paperwork. Here’s some exterior pix. One door that looks off is where i pushed the trim in. No major gaps either.

I have a new set of 20 inch factory tire and wheels from my 2018 X stored in Bainbridge Island WA if anyone is interested. I’ll unload them cheaply. I also have 2018 max spider 6 seat full
Set of mats to unload if anyone needs those. Lightly used great shape. Do the 20 inch wheels still fit on a refresh X just curious?

Also a question on the new refresh 22s….Seattle area are all season and not a summer tire, correct?

Hi -- found that the rear and center WeatherTechs from my 2018 XLR 6 seater worked fine. Not the front mats. I have to go to the service center in SODO on Tuesday so I'll just leave them there. Also, found that the new driver side mat from WeatherTech is not fitting properly. It cups right next to the accelerator pedal. Will return the front mats next week.

Such horse poo that they won't let you inspect the interior before accepting.

Those alignments look liveable to OCD me. You gonna demand a new bumper trim piece? Those marks look permanent.

Not arguing with your numbers but that makes no sense. I mean it makes ordering a LR make almost no sense unless you are absolutely set on 5/7.
That was the situation when i put my order for my plaid, there was stupidly small difference between
Plaid vs LR, compared that to US prices, plaid was in line but LR was stupidly expencive, base price was prox 115k€ vs 120k€ and there was option to be choseable for 5,6 and 7 seater plaid and i luckily put in order for 5 seater version of plaid (115990 vs 120990 base wo any options on 5 seater if i remember correct those numbers so there was no idea of LR for me)

Eur usd cource was in average 1.20 year 2021 and eur pricing was calc on base of that, now we are close to parity and European, at least in Finland my contract is done in constant eur price 130690€ with sales taxes what is 24% here including FSD and blue metallic 20" and assume upgrade to 6 seater what is 0% tax 105390eur. The reason Tesla stopped to take orders was risk of material inflation and change rate and in my case ( propably all European) i got winnery ticket valued 60k€ to upcoming pricing of X plaid

With X plaid pricing including metallic and 6 seater in level of 150k$ mean new pricing with taxes should be 190k€ if eur usd parity hold
 
Car drove great. Only thing I can’t figure out is why you tube played in the rear then we switched to radio and cannot get any of the theater mode (Netflix, etc) to play in the front or rear. Maybe a software bug? I’ll document the scuffs and see what they say. Seatbelts are very different than before too.

My situation is almost identical EXCEPT we are on opposite coasts (you are in Washington State - I am in Virginia), so, perhaps, that does provide a useful comparison to others - the difference that distance may make in the EDD equation.

We both ordered LR, Midnight Silver, 20", Cream, 5-Seats, FSD. Same-Same.
You ordered May 2, 2021. I ordered May 6, 2021. Order #RN11489xxxx. Same-Same.
Following your sequence of events:
1. I got the trade-in inquiry via the app on July 26th (no human called). I quickly responded with photos, etc. Today, July 30th, I and got a low-ball quote of $27,400 for a 2015 Model S D70 with 72,000 miles (about $10,000 below local offers from the usual sources and what Edmunds and NADA reported).
2. I received the "order on hold" via the app on July 18th, with follow-up email on July 19th. I confirmed order on July 19th via the app and also visited the local store to confirm in person. No VIN yet received.
3. Like you, I have never altered my order in any way.
4. Like you, I have had FSD since day one - no effect on EDD or VIN.
5. Since late May, I have also been within 30 days of the then current EDD, but when the date approaches, I get further push back.
6. Your EDD had been as small as 18 days, but now back to six weeks. With all of these other things being equal, the exception being our respective bi-coastal locations, on July 28th, my EDD was changed from August 5-August 25 to August 15-September 5, and today, July 30th, my EDD was changed to August 13-September 2. So the most recent 3 windows have stayed 20-21 days.

Still no VIN. Sorry for the length of this post, but this was a unique opportunity to compare.
I too have a nearly identical story, but waiting in the middle of the country. In NM but we take delivery in CO. Our delivery window shifted 5 days later just a couple days ago. Currently Aug 16-Sept 6.

Prices used to be 170k€ for P100D back in the days. Mark my words, the prices are about to come down. By the time CT has ramped up, MX prices will be back in the 90k€s.

Recommend getting the alignment checked. I experienced the same thing. It felt fine on the highway, no drift either direction, but I felt it was just too thirsty. Had the alignment check and was told the caster was a bit off and adjusted. The improved energy utilization was remarkable. A test run at 80 mph gave me 310 wh/mile. 55 more like 220 Wh/mile. Unfortunately there is no energy graph available any more, so you have to keep resetting the current trip. But the impact of the alignment change was terrific.

Just wanted to confirm, the 2nd row mats for 6 seater pre-refresh fits the new one?

Mine did. Had a 2018 XLR 100d with six seats. Bought some WeatherTechs for front, rear, and middle. Saved my bacon more than once. Anyway, now have an XLR Refresh. Tried all of the mats from the old Blue Bat and the rear and centers fit fine. Front - not so much.
