I think you meant NEMA 14-50 to 40A, 40 x 240 = 9,600. 9.6KW MaxNema 14-50 with Tesla mobile connector limits to 32A, 8KW max, no matter if breaker is 60A or more. To get the 11KW you mention, you need the Wall Charger, which then runs 48A at 11KW.
I am preparing my garage for my MX. I am very excited to have ordered my charging extension cord from Amazon. I wonder if I will need one of those orange 3 prong to 2 prong adapters?Nema 14-50 with Tesla mobile connector limits to 32A, 8KW max, no matter if breaker is 60A or more. Walking is deadly. An acquaintance of mine (true story) recently became quadriplegic from a fall while walking (ok walking on a trail).By that logic we should all be walking to our destinations.
Human psychology is complex. Assumptions are frequently incorrect, and most often are not based in a first principles approach to problem solving.I can't dispute facts, as I do not know them. But if what you are saying is true, that cruise control has led to a lot of deaths, then wouldn't one assume that there will only be more deaths with technology that induces the driver to pay even less attention and take even less ownership of the vehicle than that of a person using cruise control?
Well.....this is WAY ABOVE my pay grade, but from what I understand... It provides improved efficiency and power as a trade off for increased expenseWhat is the sig of permanent magnet motors?
Wheel locksDoes the new refresh Model X come with the Tilt/Intrusion detection standard now?

I'm getting panicked after seeing this.
People are stealing everything, as long there's a market. I've heard of a guy who got his computer module (the screen and all the electronics stuff behind it) stolen from a parked e-golf in the front of his house, twice in one year. Later they also took his jack, and I heard they took the airbag a few weeks after that. Tesla's tend to be less popular targets, because of sentry mode, but if there's a market...People still steal wheels? I thought that went away when people stopped stealing radios..

EDIT: radio's are no longer just radio's, but they're still being stolen.
Well he was moving, then stopped at the light and never moved sinceThat guy should really consider moving
This is what comes with Teslas over past few years. Very clear, 32A max. Scroll down on the linked page. Mobile ConnectorI think you meant NEMA 14-50 to 40A, 40 x 240 = 9,600. 9.6KW Max
Thanks for the correction. So the new Tesla supplied cable won't handle 9.6 output. Wow, good to know, so I will keep my older "remote charger cable" for the new X. Also keep all my adaptors and Windshield Sun Shield. This is what comes with Teslas over past few years. Very clear, 32A max. Scroll down on the linked page. Mobile Connector
Only one Question here is WHERE's MY X?Just gotta say, everyone should pat themselves on their back for being a decent human. This is a thread/blog where no one is a troll. No obnoxious comments or fights that last 3 pages. Very rare thing.
Not sure if you were kidding or not, but if you want a high amp extension cord/cable, you want one of these.I am preparing my garage for my MX. I am very excited to have ordered my charging extension cord from Amazon. I wonder if I will need one of those orange 3 prong to 2 prong adapters?
