California sales taxes have a state base rate of 7.25, then additional sales taxes are often levied depending on the County or City you live in.

There is a calculator businesses can use to levy the correct rate for each address.

It stinks that tesla (or maybe Elon) don’t understand that a lot of us don’t care about the worlds fastest 0-60 for an SUV. I can afford the plaid but I don’t want it - I’d pay extra for a bigger battery with longer range so I can actually tow stuff.

About $12k. $11k in 10.25% sales tax. Then another $1k in DMV registration (ours is based on vehicle value).

And then you’ll pay the TX tax again when you transfer it back.

Yep. That was my experience. A little over $12K in CA taxes and fees on my MX Plaid.

Not sure what you mean by refresh. I suspect they just don't have the parts available to build the cars, especially the 5 and 7 seaters that need that middle seat.

But, I also suspect all of the parts bins at the factory are running low and will continue to do so as long as the Covid runs. And continues to take out people that mine the ore needed to make the parts, make the parts, ship the parts, unload the parts from ships, drive the parts to the factory, and work on the Tesla lines building the cars.

FWIW, my 5-seater also dropped back to March. I really regret turning my leased X in June.

Well I pulled the trigger today for a long range model X with a delivery date of January 2023. I did the 6 seater with auto pilot. I wanted to get in before the auto pilot price jumped. New to the forum. I threw my name in the tracker. Looking forward to reading up and engaging with everyone!
