Congratulations!!

According to the Order Tracking spreadsheet, of 31 MX deliveries time from VIN to delivery averages at 9.8 days.

Yes. But the data should be controlled by location, since it’s a heavily weighted average.

My order still shows $10K option to add FSD. I doubt it will go up on an existing order that never selected it to begin with. If I didn't add it at the time of order I either don't want it or I'm on the fence and still thinking about it. If the latter, what are the the chances that raising the price to $12K will push me firmly onto the side of not choosing it? Very high. So leaving it at $10K where I might choose to add it provides them with a potential extra 100% margin on $10K since the hardware is already included even when you don't add FSD.

Regarding FSD and insurance on totaled cars.
Since FSD is a software license, if a car with FSD is totaled and THAT owner acquires a replacement regardless of whether they bought it second hand or from Tesla, Tesla should actviate FSD on the replacement for free provided that the totaled car will never again have it even if the title is rebuilt.
Thats why it makes no logical sense , besides pure profit, for the FSD unlock not following the owner/buyer. Since the car has all the equipment needed, you are paying for software and you should be able to transfer it to another Tesla.

Thank you so much for letting me know.

If you feel comfortable messaging me I'm happy to either send you my email, cell or my Tesla SA's cell number if you prefer to text him directly your RN and in your words about the Tesla call with FREE change to 6 seat with your plaid order.

I appreciate it and don't worry, I'm 100% trustworthy.

Thanks for the chat. I called Giovanni at Tesla. He’s reaching out to my SA Mike as only Mike can do anything if something is possible with the $6,500 refund. I didn’t use your name or RN at all. “Fingers crossed”

Good luck getting your VIN soon!

Hi Johnny Mac, is this the number to reach someone who is calling plaid orders for the free upgrade to 6 seats?

We paid the $6,500 back in Oct to switch our plaid 5 to 6 seats for a faster end of 2021 delivery, thanks for clarification before I call :)
Can you please fill me in if you have any luck. I’m in the same boat. Switched to six for faster delivery

Delivery complete in Irvine, CA for LR ordered back in Jan 2021. Only issues noted were 1) Driver FWD needs adjustment for alignment, 2) Passenger FWD trim catches on door opening when operating and 3)Missing 22” wheel inserts. Airbag “worm” visible but looks worse in photo than in reality so not sure I will have that addressed or not just yet. Otherwise, pickup was smooth and car has been great to drive! Now I just have to get used to the turn signal buttons but otherwise transition to driving this car was easy. I’ve enjoyed lurking and (sometimes) contributing here but happy to graduate. Wishing you all quick deliveries and see you out on the road!

I'd like to make a request on the order tracking sheet to add a 'Days Order to Delivery' column so we can see if / when the ramp up is happening. It looks like most members that actually took delivery have a time just under a year. There's obviously some crazy outliers and people that are still waiting from 2020. Don't know if it makes sense to break it out by seat config or LR/Plaid, but it would be nice to see roughly what you're looking at for delivery based on order date. If nothing else we can commiserate together and countdown to the 1st person to hit 500 days.

Personally like the wheels without the inserts better anyway.
This is exactly what I ordered, so If you want to share more pictures feel free :)

Except that I'd pay extra just to keep my 5 seat config. Heck I'd pay extra to get 7 seats even though it isn't quite as optimal as 5 but still close. 6 a non starter. My order is ETA October. I'll need some sort of solution to this problem or I'll end up either selling my reservation or just cancelling. I'm really hoping in the end that it is possible to swap LR 5/7 with 6(i.e. the middle row) or that somehow Tesla ends up offering the 5/7 config again after another 9 months and then hope they offer to "downgrade" me for free.
Of course this is all subjective, but if the 5 seat config is so important why not just switch to a LR X? Plaid on X barely makes any sense to me anyway (again, subjective).

Wow, beautiful, thanks for sharing. I have to say, I'm a big fan of the wood colors used in this SUV. Its a weird requirement for me, but I love use of wood pieces in cars. Do we know if that's real wood or imitation though, I'm honestly not sure. 🤔

For those that have taken delivery/are familiar:

How can I get my son added to the title/registration for the car? I'm taking delivery of the car in SWPA but he lives down in Texas. I want him on there in case I end up deciding to let him have the car (and he takes my S), that way it's just a state transfer for registration and he doesn't have to pay tax on it again (that's legal.... right?). Does he have to be present at delivery for this?
