Watching some review videos on Youtube and noticed something interesting - do the newer builds have rubber "stabilizers" in the front cup holders? My earlier Plaid build does not, but seems like some of the newer builds do

Update, called again ,to hear if the story will change, and it did, the guy answered said , it might because u change the delivery center ( 45 min apart) have to do with taking away ur vin.

This seems the most likely. I think usually vins are assigned once the car is enroute to the delivery center, so changing delivery center would cause you to lose a vin

This update happened around the same the MS got new lights and charge port. Seems there were a few minor detail changes.

I got a very similar text back in November (2021). Given that I just took delivery at the end of March (2022), I'd say it basically meant nothing in terms of order/delivery timing.

I could see this being a very unpleasant surprise to some new Tesla owners. If you believe Elon's tweets, that's not a large fraction of new owners, but it'd totally suck if you're part of that fraction.

Elon and statistics - what a combo!

It's peace of mind to me to have it in the event I get somewhere out of range of Supercharger and need to charge somehow. We're still not at a point that alternatives are clearly available in sufficiency to do without it. Cheap move indeed.

Even though it called mobile charger but I am using both to charge my cars all the time.
If new cars don't have it, I'm curious if I can trade in my cars without it.

When i called again the story was , ur car was built with some missing parts, so the vin was taken away , but ur on the priority list for a new car and vin!!!

My Model X was delivered with small cup holders with grippers. They fit a traditional Coke/Pepsi can. It won’t hold my refillable water bottle like my Ford Explorer did. I actually thought it was an insert that I could pull out to fit larger cups. I was wrong and now it’s a wrinkled mess on the passenger side cupholder.

No it is not it’s talked underneath the actual console. I discovered this the hard way. Very sad

I would always keep the mobile charger when trading in. What if your new one fails, you always have a back up. Typically paid for it when you bought the car
