Right, but replacing the half shafts eliminated the vibration in my car for at least a month. Totally gone, no matter how hard I tried...Front motors are the same, and that’s where the issue is coming from

'22+? I guess there's hope if they let you test drive before accepting delivery, but I don't think they do.Mine was immediately after taking delivery

I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere, as this issue remains and Tesla continues to recognize it as anything other than, “normal”.But it seems to be an issue on both the LR and the Plaid, which have different motors.
I came back to this thread hoping to find the vibration issue had been fixed. I had a ‘22 SLR that I sold when the market was on fire. I never noticed an issue with that one. I’m finding I miss that car, and have been thinking about another. Maybe even a Plaid this time since prices are getting more reasonable. But I’m not going to spend that kind of money if there’s still a risk of the unfixable vibration.
No, they aren't. At a minimum the rotors are different, being carbon fiber wrapped, with tighter tolerances.Front motors are the same, and that’s where the issue is coming from
Put my Plaid in “track mode” with 100% rear bias. Vibration was unchanged. Still there at 80 mph
That's a different vibration then. I don't know what it is. I can say I've seen it on my newer loaners, but I don't have it on my '21 MSP. Looks like they added a new bonus vibration.
You have cojones of steel to drive 80mph with it set to full rear.Put my Plaid in “track mode” with 100% rear bias. Vibration was unchanged. Still there at 80 mph
Drive with a very light foot.... haha. I have nearly spun mine with it biased to full rear. You have cojones of steel to drive 80mph with it set to full rear.
Why are people so afraid of rear wheel drive cars? (It's not like he turned off traction/stability control.)You have cojones of steel to drive 80mph with it set to full rear.
I think it is turned off in track mode, or greatly reduced. You can break the rears loose really easily. Why are people so afraid of rear wheel drive cars? (It's not like he turned off traction/stability control.)
Agreed. It’s also surprising to me that folks complain of feeling the vibration in the pedal. I assumed there was only an electrical connection between the pedal and the drive system.I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere, as this issue remains and Tesla continues to recognize it as anything other than, “normal”.
One thing doesn't have anything to do with the other. You can feel it in the center console, too, if you're sensitive to it.Agreed. So it’s felt more where your body might be touching the car in places that aren’t isolated by some sort of cushion or padding? One thing doesn't have anything to do with the other. You can feel it in the center console, too, if you're sensitive to it.
Pretty much exactly this.So it’s felt more where your body might be touching the car in places that aren’t isolated by some sort of cushion or padding?

Really not the same, as mentioned earlier. Why? I accelerated slowly. I had a 600 hp M5 that was RWD.
It’s baffling that apparently “good ones” do exist, right? So that would lead you to believe the issue stems from a manufacturing variance but of which parts? Nobody seems to know. If the whole thing is a sonic resonance as some are suggesting, it could be a combination of so many build variances.New 23 MSP owner here. Wish I didnt have to find nor post in this thread but I have the dreaded vibration as well. I was hoping I'd get one of the good ones but guess not. The car has less than 500 miles. Sigh
