Refreshed Model S paint chipping

Curious if this is a known issue.. picked my MS up less then a week ago. when i picked it up, it was outside under a roof that didn't have good lighting so i didn't catch this right away. it has been raining all week and finally got a chance to give it a wash. I noticed that there is paint chipping below the drivers side and passenger door handles. I sent an email to my Delivery specialist but was wondering if anyone else has seen this? when i look closely I can see why it would be chipping because of the way the corner is not a sanded edge..View media item 115659View media item 115658View media item 115657View media item 115656

Just now checked my VIN 149xxx and it looks good.

Two take aways from your comments. That's a good plug to have the SC pull the car outside into the sunlight if possible if it's just under a 'carport' roof under poor examination lighting for those of us taking delivery. Also to me in that last photo right where the paint is chipping 'on the curve' the paint looks extremely 'thin' in that location, due to the blue being after shades lighter than the 'deep' blue. So probably both the paint AND clear coat were applied thinly and not to 'spec' due to the bend on the curve and not exactly a flat surface.
I'm sure the SC will address it appropriately. If not maybe some touch up paint there. Though I know that's not optimal.

Thanks for the info... I think the QC guys took a long lunch when my car was coming through.. i also found on one of the wheel wells a lighter shade of paint like it was under sprayed when its in direct sunlight you can almost see the white body... and a large "donut" shaped spot on the back of the car to the right of the plate.. (you cant see it in a pic) not sure whats going on

This is a pretty common place for chips. The reason being if the door handles aren't aligned properly, they impact the painted door skin and chip it. My handles started impacting the skin on one of the doors so I had discontinue using it until I could get it in for alignment so it didn't chip the paint. You can see there's a bit of a seam in the handle area where there's a bit of metal flash. It creates an easy way to get a chip by breaking the paint off the flashing.

I'd stop by an SC as soon as is feasible. The sooner the better. Point out everything you've found. Sucks that it happened, I agree, but they're usually pretty good about correcting this stuff.

Donut shaped mark... Maybe suction cup marking where the panel was held by robot during assembly?

Hi OP, how did they fix it?
I have the exact same issue! I bought a new 2016 inventory car (model S) and just picked it up last Friday 5/12/17 at Burbank CA. Both front doors have this paint peeling/chipped off. I didn't notice until the next day. Called SC, they scheduled me next week to check (among other due bill items). Was yours touched up good enough or satisfactory to you?
I prefer not to get the whole doors scrapped and painted ( mine is multi coat red,) as possible.
